Stupid landlords!!!

Post by Fruiter »

Here goes...

The p5 has been in this pub for 2 weeks, unchipped so the phone rip works, today was the third time i've played it, the other 2 time's i've taken small profits of £30 & £40. They haven't been obvious wins as i've always changed notes but never changed back my coins and i never drop the whole lot at once.

Tonight we go in, me and my mate buy a pint each and get a fivers worth of change for the pool table, spend 20 mins or so playing pool, then go back to the bar, get £10 coins each (even though i didnt ned them) and get another pint and pack of crisps each.

We then proceed to the P5, it takes £18 for the first feature which gives us £2, 30 mins or so later we come off around £5 each in pocket, not a great deal but we'd just took a £31 feature and didnt want to chase another £15 for a feature.

We then go over to the Happy Campers and play a couple of quid, we was about to leave but it was playing ok, offering £8/10 so we decided to go for the force. 10 minutes later we were in for £10 each and had it within a few quid off a top.

The landlord then walks over and asks us to buy a drink or leave as he was sick of people just coming in to play the machines, i was fuming!! We'd been in under an hour and spent £12 at the bar and spent £4 on pool!

I could have just bought a drink but it was a matter of principal, i'd literally just finished my 2nd pint and had to leave witin 10 minutes anyway. I went to the bar and had a 'do' with him, explained that i spend much more than the regular alcoholics sat in the corner spoending £3 an hour on Ale! And that within an hour we'd spent over £50!!

Anyways i said my peace and walked out, i told him i wouldn't be going in again and neither would any of my mates.

For anyone interested in pissing off the landlord on my behalf the machine's in the Swan & Railway pub, straight opposite wigan (north western) train station, WN1 1BA.

Who gives a fuck about other players. Some people need to stop treating machines as if they own/have a right to them....

But the thing is matt how would you like it if you had a sweet p5 making £100 every few days or whatever then some player found it and posted it on the net? then your £100 wouldn't be so easy to get would it?

Hmm.
Back to the original point, the landlord must be some kind of c0ck to alienate paying, peaceful customers in the present climate.

Some say that 4 pubs a week are closing down; no real surprise with landlords like that!

In his defence though, if he has an unchipped P5, he's either

A. hitting it himself every night, and protecting his interests, or
B. sick of it getting emptied by players every day and just generally harsh to anyone that plays the machines and he sees winning.

when i say in his defence i'm not denying he's a bit of a tosser, but he's not just doing it for the sake of it.

If i thought it was being hit by anyone else i wouldn't have posted it, i'm 99.9% certain that there's nobody else using the rip on it, the pub is the smallest & grottiest establishment in town, up the road there's a spoons and loads of other decent pubs with 3/4 machines in each one so players have no need to venture down into the swan.

The only reason i've been going in is cause we're guaranteed a place on the pool table!

I would rather give the info so someone else maybe able to make use of it rather than it be there for a couple of months untouched.

Oh and just to help anyone planning a visit...

The £4 box has the small no.5 on the right side.

£15 has a small dint at the bottom, as if someone's stabbed it from behind with a pen.

£20 has a very obvious scratch from top to bottom (as if it's been scraping on the inside of the machine) around 2/3's across the box.

That's all i've managed to work out, we must have played 50+ features and none of the others have obvious markings.
