Blimey that's a bit heavy-handed on their part! I've been hitting the Southfields 'spoons since last year, not as often as I'd like tho as neither Southfields (nor Putney) are particularly local to me. But I agree, it's always been relatively easy to walk out in healthy profit. The DNA in there seems to always be ready, goodness only knows who keeps filling it up.

The 'spoons in Putney on the other hand I don't really play - it seems 'covered'. Mind you they must take a LOT of money in there, all 4 downstairs machines seem to be in constant use.

lol nah I dont bother going over that way much any more.... mind you that o-neills in putney bridge had a top gear was one of the worst I've ever seen, if you remember back a year or so back, always thought machines in there play a bit harshly!

agreed on the DNA in southfields, its literally always ready, that goes for the TAW that was there too.

putney on the other hand... pretty burned... espcially that treasure hunt in the pub near east putney oddly enough :P

Not so sure about that one Firefox.....been going in there for 3 years, and never had any serious players on any of the AWPs. I could probably count on one hand the number of times i went in there to find every machine dead!

Strange how that pub is so huge yet only has one fruity. That Top Gear was always being trashed - not by me lol - but it was still better than the Hillbillionaire that replaced it.

Funny how you noticed the same patterns as me in Southfields, the thing I didn't mention was the Cobra Cabana which was NEVER ready! Not once did it ever do me any favours.

I'm guessing you live nearer the centre of london than either of those two places - without wishing to tread on your patch - if you got on the tube at Putney Bridge would you head home towards Earl's Court or towards Wimbledon?

lol so true, amazingly that cabana was usually in the realms of £40ish light and pretty burnt... regulars seemed able to burn it somehow! not being a great fan of cabana though I wasnt too bothered - the x-rated and dna next door were of more interest ( not there anymore lol although)

I had a nose round that way on Monday - took a cheap top from the Sub Zero in the pub opposite the tube station but got stung by the JJs.

Looking back over the last fortnight or so, it's clear that the only times I have bad days moneywise are when I play Juggling Jackpots, Casino Crazy or JPs that Rock'n'Roll. Sticking to my preferred diet of Reds and Barcrests seems a better way of keeping the funds up.

Armed with a travelcard and a Wetherspoons directory, I'd start at Wimbledon (which i've always found a good earner), then on to Southfields, Putney, Fulham Broadway, Hammersmith, Shephereds Bush (probably the worst of the lot) into West end and back out into South East London.. There's just not enough hours in the day!!

lol - the Lloyds No.1 bar in Hammersmith is totally covered too. I've met three of the guys who go round in circles between Hammersmith, down the long run of pubs on the Chiswick High Road and then back through Acton/Ealing way.

I very rarely go into Zone 1 (the odd weekend, maybe), usually keep to the Surrey towns and sometimes Wimbledon, Merton, Croydon areas. Funny though, I usually try and avoid Wetherspoons machines unless I pass one towards the end of a day, as obviously with refills etc going on if you find an m/c only £2 off full at 10pm in a busy area then you're *slightly* less likely to get burnt.
