Name that Tune

Post by Nixxy »

This song was played on the radio this morning, very familiar but they didn't mention the artist or title. It's been annoying me all day so there'll be a cup of tea and an eccles cake to the first person who can put me out of my misery:

# Nothing ever happens...

Nothing happens at all...

And the needle returns to the start of the song,
and we all get along like before...

And we'll all be lonely tonight, and lonely tomorrow #

The song's called "Nothing ever happens" but the artist, well its been done by many..

Del Amitri?

*edit* The others to do covers by the way are:

Anne Haigis
Ben Lee, and Manfred Man. Im guessing you heard the Del Amitri version?

Think another one was " When your driving with the brakes on , swimming with your boots onnnnnnn, its hard to say you love someone and its hard to say you do--nt! Woohoo Im fucking good

Del Amitri really summed up the feeling of a nation for their official Scotland 1998 World Cup Song..

"Don't come home too soon"...

Thanks fellas - I had an inkling that it was a Scottish band but you know how the mind goes blank...!

Fader - I had no idea it'd been covered so many times. Cracking tune tho so I guess it's not surprising.

I'll be back from the bakers with the cakes in a wee while :)
