Biggest mug punter ever?

Post by Mattb »

Was in London today seeing Tim Vine live (superb by the way), but got down this aft to watch the footy. Was in a pub near Liverpool Street which had 4 fruits. Thought it'd be rude not to try knockout for a board....went in for a natural £70 off £6. It's a gold rush clone for those not knowing. Anyway, that done i took my seat and watched the game. Some bloke then came in and started playing it. The notey had just came on after my 4th quid in, so i'd left it £218 off. He was hi/lo'ing the first cash square every board and unsurprisingly kept losing. Now he went to the bar. He went again, and again, and again, and again.....still playing the same. By the time Man Utd were 2-0 up he had a pot board which £35 shotted and everything. Put him in the middle, and he took a fiver. I just couldn't believe it, what the fuck was he playing at?! Clearly getting more skint, he took a few £4s at random in between his hi/lo'ing. Then i heard a thud as a coin backed. He'd got £220 into it in 90 minutes. One more tenner changed up and he just went! Left it £230 down, what a nutcase. As soon as he was out of view i jumped on expecting the easiest £50+ profit ever. Was very hopeful when i got a red KO after £40 (!) in for a £105....but it went flat. The bank plus another score went in for the next, which did the full £105. Minimal afterplay of a SS and a £4rp shot. I'd made £50 odd out of theis blokes misery and lunacy. As the £105 was rolling itself in he came back in though! Didn't bat an eyelid, went to the bar and did another £50 through gunpowder slot (awful bfm shit) right next to me before leaving again. He'd done £300 in 2 hours. I can only assume he was pissed or mental as i just couldn't explain him not taking £35 and taking a fiver instead. Jesus, the poor old bugger.

sounds like he was on drugs/mentally retarded tbh, who would refuse £35 on cash shots to take £5

What i was thinking ob, unexplainable. The pub had KO, gunpowder slot, little devil and crazy chair. I only went in for the footy though, wasn't bothered about any of those and wouldn't have gone in otherwise.

Heh - The Holey Moley in the BK downstairs was also full (probs refill) and £10 ready! Did that for £30 uppage too, piggy bank was 5er death and didn't bother with warped. Cluedo upstairs was also there for lines.

Bleedin' eck! Was it a full moon yesterday or something?

Those are some of Britain's most-tapped machines you've made profit on there.

Aye when i said the cluedo upstairs in my post i meant the one in the spoons. Just have to hit it right, i know the place gets done a lot. Still, had my best ever milky session on any extreme (campers) in liverpool st station when it was there.....was like £50 up just setting up and milking. Like every 4 went in and got some very weird prises and shots coming in. Amazed!
