1) How did it start on 2.40? The only possible way is you hi/lo gambled to 2 pounds and exchanged, or got boxes to start the board.
2) Boxes went to 7 from 2.40, thats far from dead.
3)Going from 7 to jackpot is normal, that is a rip.

All in all it was at least playing half decent.

The best rip ive had (which was while picking) was trapping it to the top through correct use nudges, bonusses, free squares...... Requires a good few re entrys to red board but very achievable.

And that isnt even that rare.

I remember i had one with all the upper lights broke, now THAT was fun  50+ profit 2/3 times a week, the best being 90  .

I've nudged boxes in at £4 and shot up to JP before now.

£6 later a L.E.S on strawberries (£5), 4 nudge start with JP set up close and a red boost thrown in for good measure. JP achieved.

Then the very next board cost £4 which went for £38 VIU streak. Very nice when they were caught like this.

PS - Whats the best L.E.S anyones had on these? My g/f says she had a £7 (red/maroon bars), but my best is the strawberries. And do I not like 'add again' starts with no numbers around and 6 nudges to play with. :x

Yep, I had purple bars LES on a VIU eons ago - always nice. Strawberries were also a lot more common than people would think if it was nearing a good payout.

Pleasantly, there's still two near me. It's nice to go back to a more 'casual' £25 machine than the £35ers and hoping for the best! :)

QUOTE ''.....its nice to go back to a 'more' casual £25 machine than the £35ers and hoping for the best!'' UNQUOTE.

This has made me smile. Somebody who does as well as MattV, more or less saying you can have all the knowledge you need yet at the end of the day playing machines these days is a lottery.

5% Skill

20% Knowledge

75% Luck

That is why these days if I pay for expenses and make £40 profit I am very happy, in the £25 era I'd expect to make double that, at least. Don't forget I'm a casual player who DOES NOT get emptiers either.

Good one Matt. :D

Glad you agree! ;)

You can make a comfortable profit from the older ones, especially with the knowledge that the majority of us on here have, but with 'most' of the machines that have come out over the last year (emptiers aside) you are playing a lottery!

Yep Darren these can be almost comatose and still hold after for the bigger wins. Rare and usually a sneaky £15.
