Gold rush
Fair play, these Games Medias can be tricky. I prefer Bucks + friends myself and don't usually take on Goldrushes. The thing is, the anti-player technology loves to try and do you to percentage when blatantly ready.
I've had the +£10 cashpots on BTQ and had to fanny around for ages for value. Curses to that anti-player technology. On very low %s it can turn a seemingly dead cert battle into a tooth and nail to the bitter edge type battle. Regardless of playing method. Actually, you're sound if it's properly ready, it's the nod to the buzz £10ish boards that can fly in after the juice has been drunk that can trick you.
Anyway, I'm going to have to reply to my thread about didgy % stickers again now, as that is obviously more pressing than Games Media gameplay stylistics flavas.

Played a GR at Woking station this morning (was a SMTM, recently been changed back)... obviously on lowly % because it's a station - got in the centre, £6 odd in the cashpot, back out to the 2nd ring... 3 strikes offered from shots - declined it... couple more shots and top level "open" on super shots (though no shots to take)... spun again and got back in the middle - got the cash meter up to £21.50 - with the help of a couple of higher-than-a-1 lower-than-a-12s in the middle to boost the cashpot - before booting back to the outer ring to the "Bonus" square - and proceeded to take my £22 for a quick £18 or so profit (wasn't risking a prompt booting off via "Game over"!!)
I KNOW the JP was probably there, but for a start I have limited time (Woking is a change on my journey to work, 10-15 mins to kill!) and it's a shit % (70 or 72%) - so I figure it's a result! Would anyone here have done any different? I know this machine can be a bastard!!

I think you were right to collect.
Before it went up into the top level of Super Shots, did it offer you 5 Strikes and/or Mega Streak from the 2nd level? If not, you were definitely right to collect.
It's a strange location isn't it - having those confectionery shelves immediately beside the machine and a newspaper stand right behind you. It's like sticking a fruit machine into the middle of your local newsagents.

Cheers for the reply!
Nope, nothing offered from the second level - and after reading reports on here, that was another reason why I banked it!!
So you know Woking station then, Nixxy?
You're right, it's very bizarre. There's a Bucks Bunny and a Happy Campers in Pumpkin on Platform 2/4 now... and they've finally dimmed the lights in that part of the shop you can actually *see* what lights are on ore off on the bloody machine!!

Woking is player central.
Went to Yates at 10:30 with resident GaryC, JP already on Rovers winlines, we take a seat, some other player comes into to key it and starts playing (we had just put 10p in clear reels). SO that was at least 3 players before 11am, Im pretty sure I know who the other guy is aswell.

Woking is on my radar, and it used to be OK - indeed some of the pubs on the outskirts still are; it just seems that hundreds of players jump off the train, do the central pubs and jump back on it again. Woking also has a half-floating Wetherspoons. (I mean the machines, not a levitating pub)
Platform 2/4 used to have a Paycheque and an SRM next to each other, which was nice.
Yates's used to have Britain's most-battered X-Rated too ..

It seems to be the silent IM that gives the stupid tops. Had a £50 off Red Return of the JP's from the silent IM but it had just done a £70 the board before. Money Magic always did weird tops.
