The player....

Post by Johnny Boy »

Has anyone played this??

I cant say who the manfacture is as it simple says "the player" where the normal 'red' or 'barcrest' would be - however its not like a normal fruit machine. The board on it is a computer a screen, and instead of there being one game there are 5 differetent fruit machines to play - one of these being gold strike (from barcrest i think!)

Anyone seen this,,,

I saw one, looked at the changer which was --> --> --> , said 'that goes' and jogged on.. wouldn't waste my time looking at the actual games.

no i have never seen a case like this one befor.?

Cant remember the names of the games.

Took 35 out of the gold strike,
70 out of viva las vegas (i think) where you have 4 corners, one nudeges, KO, Cash, features andyou carry on building them up till you hit the middle square for jp,

then spun 35 on the roulette ?

Think i hit it lucky

The only one i've found is at charnock richard services on the M6 (northbound), i played the classic gridrunner, it was pretty much exactly the same apart from being £35 JP, it played exactly the same as the old one too, took it for a JP then 2 flashing boards for a nice £105!

There were other games on there, about 6 in total but after doing 105 on one i wasnt sure if it was a % for each game or an overall % for the machine so i took the money and ran.

Most of them have the same games....

DOND CYBTB
Gold Strike (Road to riches rip-off)
Road To Vegas
Roulette
Bin It Or Win It

All run independently, so if you rinse one it won't screw up the rest. They can be ok.

yeah i wasnt sure if they functioned in conjuntion with each other.

So in theory you could win 5*105. That is a nice little win !

Has anyone tried keying one of these yet?

I'm hoping someone else will do it and save me the embarassment of discovering a very loud new alarm, or that the screen suddenly turns into a giant camera and projects my image onto a series of 'Wanted' posters all around town ...
