Tooling; I believe this is where specific tools are made/bought that allow a shady individual to physically rob the machine via the note acceptor / pay chute / etc
The glass of coke stuck to the top of a machine is an attempt to try and scare off other 'players' as they think the machine will already have been done whereas your casual punter won't even think twice.
