Few New Machines

Post by Matt Vinyl »

Hi all...

Had a ponder around yesterday, and think I've uncovered a 'Test site' as the machines seem to always be ones I've not seen before, and only tend to stay there for around 3-4 weeks.

Anyway, here's the ones that were there yesterday:

Red: Treasure Hunt

The 'top' logo looks very, very similar to that of the Global one with the same name. It's essentially a Snakez & Ladderz clone, with the only difference being that the bonus is of the 'gamble button' variety, like on Sub Zero, and such. It played well and I got a £35 top and a £25 red sevens about £8 after - which I collected, as I know how much SnL can 'arse about' getting you the top after hitting the £25. Walked away about £30 up.

Mazooma: Monkey Business

A clone of Monopoly / MMM, plays exactly the same. First board got me to £8, so past the £5 cutoff. It took £30 to offer 'Monkey Business' that went for £45. Nabbed a quick £6.70 'Go Bananas' (cashpot) about £2 later. Nothing really that exciting to speak of.

Mazooma: Gold Strike

Another clone of MMM, etc, but with at least one (that I spotted) subtle difference. There's no mystery on the bonus gamble, so you won't lose the first time that you hit it - but the one you hit is then unlit, and if you land on that one again, it's game over time. The £5 block was cracked after £20 in, and another £20 later and I managed to get the top, which went for £55. Next board was an 'all icon' affair, which went for £35.

So, nothing terribly new there, but I'll add more to this thread whenever they change, if they've not already been mentioned in detail on here... ;)

So there're two machines on test called 'Gold Strike' at the same time, one from Mazooma and one from Barcrest!
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

I think you'll find Gold Strike Barcrest will pass test in new year.

Probably Quid Vicious QPS also.

That crossed my mind, as I saw the 'crest one mentioned in another thread. :?

The three machines that these replaced were:

-Quid Vicious
-Monopoly Hot Property
-Cash Attack

None of which particularly floated my boat... ;)

There's no mazooma test machine called Gold Strike.

There was a Gold Diggers a few months back but that was pulled.

Well, if it isn't called that, it's certainly very, very similar!! There are Bronze / Silver and Gold 'trucks' along the top that are your shot 'pots', as opposed to a vertical board, like Monopoly. Perhaps it was QPS?

Things are at such a point that I'm considering and exit strategy. Having to gamble for longer for the same cash and don't really think I'm getting the value for my free time.

Each year brings a new generation of players, things are completely saturated where I am. Got a few good thing's but once they are done they are done for three days, people are camped out on easy wins such as cluedos.

£35 jackpots means poor game play between streaks, thus reduced play by the general public.

This leads to the visible reduction in machine payout percentages.

Effects of the smoking ban coupled with the poor supply line of current machines can only make things worse.

Seasons greetings.

I saw a monkey business today. They must have reglassed the stupidly named Toss The Monkey recently. I saw one TTM about 4 months ago here, think i was perhaps the only one unfortunate enough to get one. These MMM/R2R machines erally don't do it for me, only had a couple of good wins, and a couple of nasty hits from being £8 ready.

Heh, good job I didn't have that bet! It's Gold Streak and is by Electrocoin. Never seen a machine by them before, but it's a complete copy of the QPS / Mazooma machines... ;)
