Just wondering what the consensus is on this forum as to whether they exist or not, and wether they make good money?

Got some scathing replys on gambling.co.uk for daring to mention that a good living can be made from machines! hehe.

been doing well for 10+ years.. You make good money, but the trouble with professional playing is that you have too much time on your hands, which means you spend about 3x as much as someone with a nine to five.

Because of this, you need alot of discipline to make a wage. Best method is to bank all your winnings, and pay yourself a monthly wage from your account.

Don't listen to all those people... most are just jealous or ignorant, and most likely both.

It's possible to make a good living with a lot of discipline and a good route... not that i do sadly.

Totally agree that with so much free time you waste more. Petrol, eating out, drinking etc just eats away at earnings.

Excellent! Proper replys.

Yeah, Danny C.

Threads called Ultimate loss, probably worth a giggle and a chance to throw some more abuse at danny.

Anyway, looks like I found a better place to post!

Cheers folks

Please don't degenerate this thread into a site slagging match. The problem some people have is with other individuals comments, not the sites they subscribe to. This could needlessly get out of hand. Not all of us are out to present such a negative image.
I enjoy reading this site on a daily basis, but even here there has been talk of negativity these days which doesn't need to be enhanced. Uber, I'm sorry your initial postings on the other site have been met with negativity from a few. This site should see you right with some good people on it, there is more traffic here and a lot of mature responses. Pop in now and again 'round the corner', it's not as bad as you think !

The mods here are more "fruit machine player orientated, and do make money", whilst at gamb.co.uk, the hieracrchy tend to be involved with poker, or retired from full time slotting or "I earn £300 a hour coding some program, go play your machines for a living, you dirty rats."

UKG* is hyper moderated, as many edits as a newspaper published in Nazi Germany full of noobs and teenagers talking £5 golden game.
Wonder what ever happened to Gangstar_goz on there? Another blabbermouth in the silent g genre.

That made sense until you lowered the tone by insinuating the opinion that fruit machine players are some lower form of life akin to a rodent. There was no need for that, I am a fruit machine player, I regard all other fruit machine players with the same esteem and would never presume to divide people into social class levels by the manner in which they earn their wage.
All the undertones suggest people are posting criticism at individuals, rather than communities. Exactly my point, lets not defame any site as such for the opinions of the individuals that post in them, for they do not represent the views of all.

A sample cutting....

I don't know who you are, neither want to know.

Your post above is just the shit we used to get posted on here a few years back, except the 'enhanced' version...

£506 in a day is no where near impossible and I would never state that, what I meant was, you shouldn't delude people on the fact that this is a way to make a 'living' as you call it.

If you want a debate on making a 'living' I could gladly spout about how I make what you just said "£506 in a day" I do that in about 72 hours without getting out of bed, combining adsense with affiliates... SO i can spend time with my kids, my wife and still make money... without the need of 5-6 hours traveling, carrying around lumps of pound coins...

As for the machines, well, suppose me being a 'random' to you wouldn't matter what I would say would it? I won't bow down the immature "I go on machines everyday and get £500 easy", I know what I 'CAN' make on the machines, and my friends do, some of which on here...

Guess you caught me on the badside of the mother of all hangovers, but there's hardly anything worth talking about anymore, let alone coming on the forums to see shite like this being posted...

CGI machines..?! Oh, you wouldn't know, there was only around 240 of them distro'd, hardly anybody knows them, half the distro's scrapped them, then the manu when under (which means no debugging or future recompiling of the program) but small companies still kept distributing them around the North West, there was a bug which I sussed, and told nobody, and I daren't even begin to tell you how much I made in a MORNING, let alone a day...

Now, I shall go for my radox bath, eat my tea, then get the beers out ready for a big poker session with the boys, sleep tight...
