Hi spirits was a classic.
Slammer, for around £2/3, getting the JP repeat was decent, but to be fair i found it FAR more reasonable on the £8 which would frequently go to £32. Never saw a huge amount from £5 version, maybe 15 max.
That said getting the pot(+repeat) was bloody hard to say the least! In fact i never once had it. But seeing people play was enough for me, even when the tubes were up it just was not going to happen. The block between pot and + repeat was massive, i understand that now as the repeat chance means you are taking the streak pot. Just seemed confusing to me though how it would 9/10 lose when you continued around the board having jp available to collect. I have played a bit on the emulator and been able to hit 'rollin around' which can and will repeat twice, cant say id have been able to at the time but knowledge for the future when i play again. The 'cancel button' as we called it, (siren sound) used to turn everyones head when it occured!
Brings back the memorys when i used to sit in a localish arcade almost all day everyday, just for the pure pleasure of watching people play, and maybe helping them. I was 'clued up' in those days, only that i knew the reels on the Light 'D' nudge and nudge double up deluxe, also hitting that all important skill on pinball nudger, 2 nudges for pot, skill only goes too 2. I could hit it 99% Used to charge a quid a time
Light 'd' nudge used to play strangely well in the mornings so i used to the there first thing and rip it out for maybe a fiver profit

. Only later did i realise that plugging was the answer
If i knew what i know now i woulda made a fortune from there. They had excellent £15's, psycho which, probably even to this day hasnt been done. Supercharged, would have been unchipped. Wild west, unchipped. On the busses

. Super pots i think it was called, had an empty i believe. Dr who £10 jackpot i think, not sure how good what would be but definetly a classic. Sonic the hedgehog was a favourite for those flukey fast cashes

Jewel in the crown, nice machine we always used to play for pick a win for the increasing offers for pot. I also recall having a cops and robbers, which when the jackpot repeater was achieved had like an equivelent to find the pea. 2/3 options would give the repeat, the other was spin! Had to have been fixed, but fun none the less. Fight night was good, weigh in would go for pot and sometimes run off it for a bit too

. Treasure trail for the nudge timer, always handy

. Eureka for the dooooouuuuuble bouble! Bank raid was also cool, the most embarrisng fruit machine moment i have probably had (next to missing a reel magic last year) is while playing with my mums cash, getting IM on bank raid, got the top left skill (which to be fair is fairly fast) and instead of hitting +2 cash i missed and hit caught. She never knew though, because i couldnt bring myself to tell her

, never came back either.
Lol i also recall admiring a fella called bill, He played the game so to speak, was a high roller. Like he may have came to the arcade with £20 in his pocket, maybe even £30 whereas me coming there with even £6 was huge for me. Getting up to 20 was a slight possibility, and when that happened i thought i was untouchable. I would walk around playing everything and anything and sooner or later the enevitable would happen.
Well when i was younger gambling was my livelyhood, i have been gambling since i was around 5 years old, on tuppeny nudgers. So for say 13/18 years since being born i have been gambling or playing. I dread to think what woulda happened to my life had i not have got into the game so to speak. Id probably be a complete roulette addict.
