Online Slot machines vs AWPs

Post by fruitofthegods »

9.05am - Deposited £20 on will hill account
9.05am - £2 spin on a will hill slot machine and rolled in £250.
9.06am - Next spin got £110 off £2.
9.07am - Withdrew £356 back to my back

now lets see how this could have been different.

9.05am - Insert £20 note into pub AWP
9.05am - First featute entry, probable winning a feeble £3
9.05am - Game Over
9.06am - Lose £20

Makes you wonder why any of us still play such low pay out machines?

You were incredibly lucky and have posted a very skewed portion of the true statistics I suspect, either intentionally or unintentionally.
So you suddenly decided to play on line slots? Ever play on line slots before or was that the first time?

9:05 am Deposit £20 on Ladbrokes.
9:06 am Play Tombraider on £2 spin.
9:08 am Get a couple of £1 wins and lose the lot.
9:09 am Deposit £20 on Ladbrokes
9:10 am Get up to £22 but lose it all
9:12 am Deposit £20 on Ladbrokes
9:14 am Lose it all
......<<snip>>
2:24 pm Wish I hadn't just lost over £700!

3:30pm Sneak down pub
3:32pm Play a deadish machine
4:05pm Churn away for half an hour to win a fiver
4:10pm Play a livelier machine
4:15pm Win £45

5:00pm Find an un chipped machine
5:02pm Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one! Good one!

It's a jackpot.

£4049 up, minus the £700 lost on shitty on line gaming.

Sorry got a bit silly there, but as with all things, surely the chance of bigger better winnings = the chance of biggerer worserer losings!!!

It's gambling to your level. Personally I doubt any of us would leave the house with a bankroll that justifies £2/spin.

So you got lucky. In that case I'm buying loads of tickets for the lottery tonight because it's a £10,000,000 jackpot. I can't see why anyone would play on line slots when they could win proper money like that.

There might be a niche for winning on on line slots. However the general concensus is IF and it's a big IF - IF you do get lucky, withdraw and say goodbye.

So well done on the win, but If that was me that had won that, I'd withdraw it all, never deposit again and go down the pub to play Deal or no Deal? The Dream Factory.

agreed with these two, take your winnings and ask the site to ban you from it. seriously. you can opt out of any online sites; I've banned myself from a fair few in my time.

I have no intention to play it again.

meh maybe it was a dodgy opinion but made me wonder.

i've played online roulette twice with £10 stake and made £80+ back both times (in 2 spins) and never been tempted to go back.

only thing I am addicted to is bran flakes!

having played online casinos a fair bit in my time, the blackjack games from stanleyacropolis and ladbrokes seemed fair enough.

Won 6000 dollars playing blackjack on stanley, and a friend had blackjack come in twice in a row on a 1000 hand on ladbrokes blackjack.

Try playing the real tables, they seem just as fixed.. every time you get a slight run and increase your bet, guaranteed you are playing against an ace or a picture, and will lose.

Nature of the game, we tend to only remember the bad times, of which there are plenty in casino games.

You obviously hit lucky at that time, the next 50 times you play those things you will more than likely lose although if you say you won't play them again then fair enough.

With pub machines at least you know where you are, granted you will not win as much as quick but at least you won't lose as much and those online things are random so your clutching at straws. If you are disciplined and have good knowledge then you could make those sums of money off AWP's, it would just take you a few more hours.
