played these to many times with bad experiences, all except one where put £20 quid in and eded up with £800. It got to the point where it seemed as if i couldnt lose, im not the only one who has had this, numerous mates of mine have had the same happen where they put their couple of numbers on and they always come up. But best taking a win and leaving it at that

These machines should banned. Why can they not use a TRUE random number generator.

Because err what it is you see is.....errrr.......well......ok, if it was truly random then errrrr I don't know Jeff, sorry.
Actually I do, it's so it can pay to two zero % on a one zero game.
Maybe I should try this £1 on a number malarky. If I did it for a month, worse result = -£28.

stupid things.. Odds of losing are far greater than the odds of winning, even in a 50/50 situation

I put £20 in one of these today and had money covering every number (ok not a fantastic strategy!) except 29. Imagine my shock (sarcasm) when 29 comes in. Random? No way.

Its about time the Government looked into these.

But they wont, because a lot of their corporation tax income comes from Messrs Hills, Ladbrokes etc.

Speculation would suggest that these do not use the random numbers present in the true sense they were intended for. Anyone here work/worked in a bookies? I know at least one of you has, because of the thread about changing up coins in fobts.

Do you have access to figures regarding %s for specific software/terminals/y'knows?

The dog racing games run books to pay out around a 80% return. Fairly lousy. Roulette is surely THE most popular game though.

lol, if I've said it once I've said it 1000 times, these things are random, the games make enough money without being rigged, so theres no need to rig them!

The online casino's are audited by PWC, D&T, BDO etcerera. There is no need to cheat when the house edge wins over time.

I think the online casinos are fine.

But FOBT's are not random no matter how much they profess to be.

Can someone answer this:

If bookies wanted to play roulette 100% fair, why not have a location, say London, with 3 roulette wheels, each spinning once every 20 or 30 seconds (i.e. as often as a current FOBT) and a live camera link up to the machines?

There's a reason they use a computer generated number because the above would be relatively easy and not that expensive to hook the current FOBT's up to.

Ross. That's the best solution I've ever heard. People just don't trust machines, period.

I just dont understand why they dont do it.

That way it'd be 100% legit. The fact that they choose to use a generated image just makes me think things cant be all they seem.

or the fact they are computers running computer games? should they link the virtual dogs to live cams from racetracks? should they get one in a bingo hall? SHould they dress five fast men in king out fits and asked them to randomly pick 7's out of a box? Think of it from their point of view; why the fuck would they bother:

1)they rake it in
2)the machines run themselves
3)the RNG is free to run, croupiers are not.
