These random flashes to the mug punter will just might turn him into an addict, and that will benefit the more experienced player in the long run.

Addicts come in 2 forms. The random forcer and the clueless recycler.

Both of them are bad? Unless the former runs out of money!

Can't be bothered to read the rest of this topic, but I've always presumed that this annoying mis pronunciation/misspelt word comes from would've which, when said, sounds similar enough to would of for spackers to start saying/typing that as the norm.

Wandered in to play one of the Vortexes here earlier, and some guy just had pot in his box on DOND WIYB. I normally have a quick board, but thought better of it today as i'd just seen that come out. Some other guy walks on, sticks all of £4 in, and get a 'this will be the most sensational game' flash for another £35. How unfair can you get! :x If that had been me trying a board, you know it would have been about £9 in for a dead third hit. Disgraceful.

* I don't have a problem with mugs winning (they have to or they wouldn't play at all), but stuff like that pisses me right off! :x
Can I just ask mate, if the machine says 'this will be the most sensational game' does it always mean £35 if you go all the way or does it just mean a large sum? Also, will it say this as soon as you get on the board or not?

Yeah, its pretty unmissable. It says 'This will be the most sensational game' lights all the phones red and the top logo flashes. The guy i saw get it pressed the play DOND button, it removed 3 boxes and offered £35 (it offers £35 every offer in IM) and he just took it. Can't understand why he didn't try the MS - it likes to do silly amounts like £48 on here, might have got a bit more!

presumably he didnt know it was IM? it is annoying the way it offers 35 all the time; means randoms are even less likely to miss it. I wonder if ALL features pay to £35 or as close as they can when IM?

not uncommon for P5 / beat the banker / walk of wealth to do two invincible boards one after the other.Someone had a guareenteed board of a bucks bunny other day it went for £35 then they left it without playing for next board. I went on it after them and it gave another. This time for £70.

doesnt bother me if other machine pays in pub when i had two machines to play. The way i see it is that i made my choice.

what bugs me more is when i am waiting to get served and someone goes and starts playing the machine i went in for.

Happenned on unchipped bwyi (box what's your in?) in The Brass House on a very wide street in a place that sounds like lots of worms call it home in an Anglo-Saxon manner.
I popped up to the patron pulling pints and procured a pint of Peter Piper (guest ale) before picking a pickled pepper from the pedestal.
Before I baulked behind me after buying the bar drink, I heard a horrible hideous human hitting a hefty hopper for hundreds. Gutted I gladly gulped the Guiness and departed downhearted to The Varsity opposite which Gamestec had chirpily chipped on Chuesday. Devestated I nipped neatly to New Street Station and perkily plopped onto Power 5 in the pub on the platform. 'twas taken for thirty 'twas dead and I didn't nab the knowledge that it could be emptied.
Still that's what you get for going up to Manchester.

It was more the fact what i said - seeing pot come out of a box win on DOND would surely ward everyone on here off, but someone gets spawn of the world for an IM! You just know if you'd have tried it yourself you would have got burnt 8)

I don't begrudge anyone winning....in fact im so little bothered i happily tell people whats around here to play. Not so heartless after all! 8)
Say you hadn't seen the Jackpot won, you just strolled in and went straight over to it, and stuck your £4-5 quid in, and you got the IM out of it - you'd be just as spawny as the guy who actually won it, would you not? You could be on here posting how you got an IM off of £4... your post comes across as nothing more than jealousy.

That could have happened i guess. It's not jealousy at all - what have i got to be jealous of being the only person playing in my hometown eh? Jeez i was only trying to make a point in jest.....next time i won't bother if people are going to get all high and mighty! :x

Geez what can I say Mattb, apart from I'm sorry. I didn't mean to open a can of worms and it certainly wasn't a character assassination, its just the way you came across seemed a little 'elitest'. :|
