How long do you reckon Scumbridge will be in the conference?
Last time I saw them was in 97 when we did them one tuesday evening 1-0 at London Road, a late Jimmy Quinn winner. Is the Shabbey still standing? Still surrounded by allotments is it?
Although 'boro I lived in Cambridge several years, had a flat in those blocks at the end of Manhattan road by the river, just down from the Old Spring and Fort St. George. Used to work the door at King St. Run for a couple of years, nice town, better than 'boro which is now by all accounts a migrant-filled hellhole.
Used to rape the flash bar-x's in the Quicksilver in Sidney St. or was it Green St. can't remember 100% next to a small Sainsbury's anyway.
Ages since I saw that stupid yellow and black club emblem, a team who had such 'stars' as Junior Shunter.

Cheer up Barry Fry....
The allotments have gone, and the away end is now the best in the ground (2,300 all seater, 3 years old). 2 sides are still terraced. We're the only undefeated team in the BSP now (6 wins and 4 draws) so i'm hopeful we can go up this year!
The arcade is indeed still there on Sidney Street. I frequent the run myself as i play in the pool league and they are one of the big hitters. It's a nice enough place to live, though a bit sparse on pubs in the town centre compared to other cities.

"Sixty percent of the time, it works, every time!"
Used to work in Bar Hill for 6 years, a load of my workmates all followed CUFC so i got lots of grief. some were actually stewards. I played QS in Green St. from 93-98, worked the run from 97-98. Ex-copper Keith blond bloke was landlord then.
I LOVE THE SMELL OF NAPALM IN THE MORNING
Chairs still on ceiling in KSR then?
