Things change for the worse...........

Post by mitsy81 »

Hi all,
Having just returned from a rain filled weeks holiday in hemsby with the missus, oh my god, what a nightmare!!
Last year just casually playing the fruits in the evening with the missus, managed to get throught the whole week £80 up which i felt a great result with all the food and drink on top.
This was just playing the things we know the golden games £5 and £25 and magic 7's etc. Even let the missus try a few in the horrible party times etc
All good fun, throughly enjoyed it and felt that we had every chance of winning on the machines, WOW what a difference a year makes!!!
First night playing a dropping golden game (little did i know it would be the only one we'd find all week) got the whistle for the top and it was a nine nudger and told the missus it was £85. On hearing me say this the guy next to me then quizzed me for a good 5 minutes on who i was where i came from and what have i been on. Very odd i thought. Anyway collected mt token fiver after and walked off, seemingly leaving this fellow behind, NO. probably saw mopre of him that week than my girlfriend!!!!
Everywhere we went and everything we played watched, everyone knew exactly what they were doing and breaking even was difficult! Enjoyed winning a pink cat toy off a grabber for the missus more than anything else! Just such a horrible atmosphere.
Anyways probably £250 down in the week just playing random ish party times and games and loving playing the last remaining monte carlo or bust and the fools and horses.
Last night though walking back to the caravan and i go into the arcade on the corner, only a small on but still seemed well covered and full.
Play on the S16 with the £6 i had in change. You can probably guess the rest, It was called cash explosion and 2nd spin came in a whole sceen of WILDS and CASH EXPLOSION symbols!!! Fucking hell i won my first £500!!!
Result or what!! Gave the missus £150 for her books for uni next week and pocketed the rest!!
Still didnt change the feeling of being just a mug punter down hemsby, wont be going next year, have to bite the bullet and go abroad!!!
Sorry for the essay just really gutted that its got that bad hate to think what yarmouth is like now, the overspill is now in hemsby!!!!

Viper Jive...IIINNNVVVINNNCCIIBBLLEEE!!!!!
Gotta love getting that.

If you get a chance, nip into the big bar /pool hall at the end of the shops by the beach..think it's technically a social club. It's got 2 paragon It boxes..have a look and see if me and the missus are still top high score on spot the difference....should say BOZMIK as the name.

Sorry no, being picky here, that was Cashino and Inka Dinka Doo etc, Viper Jive was a jangly jangly guitar riff and a flash up top. Viper Jive is one of my all time favourite machines.

2 or 3 years ago, I would often find a full Golden Game in Hemsby. They hate you winning there and you have committed a very serious crime if you manage to empty one through strategic gameplay. All automatic chip now except Sands No.1 (£15 chip) and sit down red hot xs.

For the sake of pure nostalgia, does anyone have any pictures of the following:

1. Viper Jive
2. Potwasher
3. Potwasher playing a Cliffhanger

:D
