That's excellent work. I must have played 100-150 endgames of this and am still yet to get more than £5 or less than £2. It must be that I've still not played it enough.
I would say just keep at it Grecian - Ive had 2 £10 wins amongst the others although it can turn a bit spoilerific as nec- must admit never had the £20 - dont know if anyone has - but also Ive never had 25p, 50p or 75p either- so all in all not bad

I too, have had a couple of tenners and never less than £3.

Always worth a 50p in my book

just got my first ever JP on Word Up....

On my first shot in a Zone 1 pub...a spectacular 1680 clearance got me top of the hi-scores with about 500 to spare

Walked past that pub a million times and never realised there was an itbox in there

Hmmm... we've bobbed it up there before. Not for a while though.

Deals for Wheels - although not technically a pot- having got to the middle on this the other day for £10, it reminded me that I actually liked it when it came out. Definite low hanging fruit if you find somewhere off the beaten track and use "the method".

Was speculating last night with someone that they've "reset" DoW at a lot of venues in the same way that I thought they'd done with DOND. As I've all but stopped playing DoW I'd better restart...

Wouldnt get too carried away- I only had a punt on the basis that the empirical evidence from some of the other games was that I was drinking in the "Thicko Arms". Inspired and having tried it in more competitive environments it was same old same old

That is quite an achievement.

I was playing it last night and never got anywhere... as soon as I was a pint or 2 away from a £1, it was offering bollox like "Dr Who Planets", "Clam Toucher" (or something similar... didn't have a clue about that), or the "Bonus", which is nigh-on impossible and only gives you Eliminator anyway (which helpfully eliminates the Q and Z)

EDIT: I was replying to a post about PMP which seems to have disappeared!

Is "the method"

(a) get all the questions right
(b) deliberately lose on the first 20p hence having a stack of right answers saved up for the next go
(c) something more mysterious?

Ironically the only place I ever got to the middle on this one was in one of the pubs just off Leicester Square which I usually find are the opposite of the Thicko Arms - lots of central London pros chasing the cash put in by too few punters.

Good work - I've never done that and suspect I never will.
I demonstrated my (non-)powers of prediction here as last night the wife and I managed to JP Pub Quiz for the first time ever. Observations are:

(a) until the last round, the questions were ridiculously easy, and even in the last round, all were totally reasonable with a bit of thought; and

(b) we didn't get a single bonus feature on the cards, I'm pretty sure.
