Well the French for pretty is joli, and the word for red is rouge.

therefore, the answer must be the mythical beast Jolirouge.

OK- I once won the "snowball" in my wife's local's celebrity quiz night with the following question

In which year was income tax introduced?

The idea was that after the end of the normal quiz they would ask a v difficult question which normally would only be got by a guess and the prize would roll-up each week until someone succesfully guessed it. That particular evening Arthur Smith was handing out the prizes and unfortunately (being the only besuited gent present and having to go up on stage to claim it) I just happened to know it.
