I've not had one cost less than £70 yet for the top and this is from showing at least ARB3 straight away, had one cost over a ton for a top too, maybe its just this particular machine, I've only got the one of these so have'nt got nothing too compare it too. Like i said before it loves too block at £35, then when you finally win the gamble for the top it only goes £35 anyway :?

maybe i've just been unlucky :(

You havent. Expect this to be standard for this machine. You will also have problems with maintaining a roll on it, if you see what I mean.

Is the £35 a repeat chance on this? I can't remember as I only played it once about a month or so ago, noticed there is also no JP fruit win on this, red sevens give £25.

You can gamble off the £35 to the top for the repeat as with most reds.

I agree with the above posts this machine is RANK with a capital R :? watched someone put £70 through. It offered a £25 after the first £20 in which anyone would take as a good sign. Well another £50 in later  machine just seems to have gone stone cold dead and bloke walks away prob feeling sick as a dog.

So i'm thinking this is a good a time as any to play this machine, change a £20 and change play/stake to 50p play Mega play with the "supposed extra 6%" payout  (can this be proven?) anway the peice o shite gave me 1 board which shot me straight up to 12 nudges for a poxy £2 win on the cash side, managed to gamble this 2 positions further then got the oh so predictable 10 to an 11 scenario. Mega Play sucks, it can take a £5 worth of credits in about 30 seconds and this machine is sooo predictable.

My advice steer well clear unless it's had at least £100 pumped into it because you'll more than likely get stung.

Streaked a few of these so far. They seem very tight though. They show red features but then you go through an age of blocks until one random board it will give a flat. However, i have streaked 3 of these and made on them each time so far so good!!!

I tried it on a Vortex today and after maybe 4 or 5 seconds, the word 'Refill' became 'Refill 1PD x14'.

I found that putting a couple of loose coins in the payout tray, turning the key and crouching down slightly to turn attention to the bottom of the machine allowed me to check out the hopper level whilst scooping the coins back out of the tray.

It is very hard to do in some locations though - there're several regular places where I'm not even gonna try.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

From what I have heard from quite a few players is that these throw in a lot of fake red boards, which is probably why everyone is losing playing them.

Fake Red Boards - Innevitable.

It would be stupid to think that Red didn't know that most of us are suckers for that red glow, but one of the questions on that Players Heaven survey was:

o) Do you beleive you will win more if the features are red?

I'm pretty sure that 99% of the answers received to this would have been 'yes'...

...So now they know to suck more and more people in by building in more and more fake-showing routines to their newer machines. We see red, we think 'A-ha!'

Have you not noticed that machines like FNC / Vortex tend to offer frequent ARB1 boards, but will either KO you first gamble*, or not let you anywhere near the exchange point, or not offer the single blue/green feature to red-up the entire board.

*I beleive that Sub Zero was a 'test' for this sort of 'lure'.

Hence now, I tend to not take terribly much notice of the red-ness of these newer machines - moreso whether the £10+ wins are being offered.

Blocks to take note of:

Most Reds: £5 / £10 / £15**

Vortex: £6***

FNC: £15

**This is pretty standard on all machines, granted!
***Anyone else noticed this? Seems to lose more often on the £6 than the £5. If you are actually gambling up the cash stack and you get past the £6, it quite often goes to the top. Where as nudging in a win over £6 (often the £8 or £10) often results in doinkage. I will say however, that Vortex is currently my most profitable game... ;)

Aswell as the typical 'Oooh' look 10 red features Bosh! dead boards, has anyone notice that nudging in 3 gm type fruits resulting in a boost to the next cash square will more often than not just K.O you in the next 2 gambles :( maybe this only happens when the machine is sucking but i've had it happen quite a few times now.

I personally don't think these machines are worth forcing unless the key works, as you never really know what point the machine is at because of it's randomn program. I mean i've had it offer me the £25 and died twice gambling to the £35, then taking another £20 for top board which resulted in a flat £35 anways, so about £50 in for £35 out and not much afterplay, not a good machine in my book :x

Yeah this might be true but i feel the whole concept of red gaming was the red features meaning the fruit machine is there. SZ/KR i believed at first fake red and in some cases they still do, but more cases than not you will streak a red if it shows. Remember they are 35s now so if they do show red features then it will take longer during the forcing stage anyways.

If you cant be bothered to wait 6 seconds for hopper balance (or if the pubs too fire 8) ). Just refill it for a pound. A pound lost is better than playing a machine thats 70 light.
