Hope you can help me out you guys.
I know quite a bit about fruit machines, from residential expeirence, but not sure what the problem here is.
OK, the machines is Barcrest's 1999 machine; Neptunes Treasure.
Set to 80%, 10p per play and £5 jackpot, just intended for a lite game for a friend of mine.
Runs on a MPU5 (as you probably know, just didnt wanna miss anything out)
Well i got to turn it on, and we get no lamps, no screen display, but an alarm condition as it shouts "HEY, CHECK IT OUT... HEY, CHECK IT OUT", so i open the top door, the noise stops just for a second (as the door open initialises.. then it begins again)...
On checking the machine.. i found a lead not in properly on the MPU5, so i pushed that in, turned on.. still the same thing.. so i checked even more, and found that the hopper wasnt even connected!
(This is all from when it was given to me, and it was working when i saw it, and now i go to play it, its in the state)
As i havent worked on barcrest before, i was a bit unsure where it was to plug into..
i found a port it was laying next to, its on a board just behind the reels.. (is this right?)..
But it was the wrong connector for this port

I have searched everyway near by for a port that this is supposed to plug into, but everywhere is PINS, and im starting to wonder if the connector on the hopper is supposed to be the HOLES type, and if this hopper goes to this machine AT ALL!
I hope i havent confused anyone, as ive confused myself.
Basically, the hopper isnt plugged into the board, could this be whats making the error? If so, where does it plug? Is this the right plug?
One last thing the status LEDs are as follows:
HALT LIGHT - OFF
STATUS LIGHT - GREEN, THEN 5 RED FLASHES, THEN GREEN, THEN 5 RED...
ALL THE POWER LEDS ARE SOLID GREEN
Hope you guys can make any sence of it all,
Cheers!
Regards and best wishes,
Lee
