Be careful though when generalising like that though. Not all machines will do what you've said. For example, an Italian Job 3 will only ever streak for £75 max, whether its on 70% or 80%. You have to know each machines streak cycles and how they work when working out play.
As far as i'm concerned, the extra pieces of % may slightly help on machines with Mega Streaks, and perhaps offer an extra cash/feature level or two on boards. Other than that, no difference.
Say we go over 100,000 spins at 30p play. That's £3330ish of money through. On 70%, thats £2300 back. On 80%, it equates to £2600 odd. Only £300 difference, and over that many spins, the amount one player will get is negligible really.
That's the only reason i said people make percentages out to be more than they are......those figures only highlight it really. I'm not denying it pays more on 80%, but its hardly the holy grail some people make it out to be.
Regards
Matt

"Sixty percent of the time, it works, every time!"
I think your missing the point Matt. If a machine is on 80% payout it will save 4p per spin onto the streak compensator if it is on 70% it will save 2p onto the streak compensator. This means if the streak is £75 it will get there quicker on 80%. It will also play better game to game as it will be running at 76% rather than 68%. Agreed the streak will pay the same but it will streak more often if it is on 80%.
