DOND WIYB - very wild speculation?!

Post by rocket »

Hi all,

I'm just wondering about this, if anybody knows of anything on it with regards to playing one line at 10p a spin.

Loads and loads of times I'm stood next to one, and the person playing it will be playing it on 10p a spin - or, I come to the machine to play it myself and find that someone has been playing it on 10p a spin.

Now I could understand if this was in a pub where people want value for money and a quick few quid - but this is in arcades or in the bowling alley, where people have turned up specifically to gamble. Now without being funny, I reckon if someone is a gambler enough to go out specifically to do it, then they're likely to play on 30p or 50p a spin. So why are people playing this on 10p?!

I can't imagine theres anything on it at all, but I might be wrong? Just wondered if anyone had any ideas...

Cheers

i used too have a nuns and roses in my local and i would always find that it was on 10p a spin, i just assumed that someone wanted too play every last credit, if they have put there last pound in and had 3 spins at 30p they did'nt want too leave 10p for the next player so they switch it. this might explain some of it???

Thought that - I sometimes do the same. But I've seen quite a few people actually playing it on 10p. Haven't been around long enough to see if they do anything in particular - i mean, they never seem to get on the board very often playing at that stake!

I've had two good results from playing this on 10p a shot. Both times from getting the three phones and getting £12 off of the DOND feature. One near here has paid out over £180 in one afternoon session - without any of the three players who made up the total win from spending too much - so either this one is way under % a lot of the time, or it's just generous!

Just to check though, is this the one with the 'dial' on reel 3 that opens up the DOND game if you reel it in and stop the light trail on that phone dial thingy? If not, ignore what I wrote, as I'm talking about a different DOND game... ;)

yeah thats the one! The lights spin and have to land on 'win' - seems fairly generous actually. That thing on reel 3 has spun in quite a few times, and its always lande on win.

Cool, I'd say out of the three DOND machines I have played, this one seems 'better'. Good for a quick steal too, if you're not in a 'big money' mood... ;)

Yeah. The worst one for me is that latest one. It's name escapes me (theres that many!). THe power 5 is it? Reels that spin ridiculously fast and eat money in no time, always seem dead, offers features that are wank, can kill you with a couple of spins....

Just play it on 50p - That way if you get the phone its a guaranteed super entry

True true - as to the 10p thing this machine does not revert back to 30p/50p stake after attract mode. If you play Bucks Bunny on 10p or BTQ, wait for the attract, put in £1 and it's back to 30p/spin not so with WIYB?
It's the best of all the DONDs, it gives the invincible "This will be the most sensational game" relatively often. Never seen invincible on Power 5 and only blagged a couple of invincibles on Beat The Banker.
I have one location for Walk of Wealth, but haven't really played it yet.
10p play = 3 lights lit on phone = genuine 1/5 chance of top.
30p play = 9 lights = just over 50% chance of top.
50p play = guaranteed feature entry and you get it more often.

On the subject of Deal or no Deals. Would you say the selection of cash value is random on DonD feature? On the £25s I would have said yes, there felt like an even distribution, but on the £35 BTBanker in the services it just feels so fixed. It's like endless runs on 1p,£2 boxes. Then you claw a few wins back and just when you think the machine has almost died you fluke DonD feature and get left with 1p and £35 and collect £12.02 because you feel it'll almost certainly be 1p and lo and behold there is the £35. Feels a bit 'patterny' to me.
Also I bought a red LED key fob today. No joy. It must be a polaroid reel in front of a mirror. No joy, you need light at right angles to reel to see, but all light directed from outside at that angle bounces straight back off mirror. Maybe you need another mirror and a red light. Confusing huh?

From my experience on the DOND games the box seems very random. i've had pretty much everything in the box and the offers can vary quite a lot. The £35jp seems to have made the offers even more tempting. On saturday i was down to £6 or £35 and the offer was a massive £26 which i took to find only £6 in me box! Lovely Jubbly.

I'd agree the £35ers are way more generous in their offers.

Eg if you had £1 and MS left, you get offered say £11.
If you have £1 and MS left, it offers like £26!

I usually always deal anyway, as the MS is nearly always flat.
