Â£5000 fool on betfair's soccer forum

A certain 'obeone' staked £5000 for under 3.5 goals in the Man Utd-Roma match. He lost before half-time!

Before the game he posted saying under 3.5 goals was an absolute certainty and the bet of the year, or words to that effect.

Anyway, you can imagine the laughter and mickey-taking he's had to endure, especially as the game saw 8 goals in total.

Some people have felt compelled (or even impelled!) to try and create a page for him on Wikipedia, but unfortunately to no avail.

Go to the betfair forums and find the thread: it's BRILLIANT!!

I imagine it'll be near the top, with 300ish replies.

You didn't read the whole lot then. He said that if the bet lost he would swim the channel with his mother in law on his back (who is a 20 stoner)

He tipped four horses at Cheltenham to lose and they all won !!!!

I Never bet on sports, ever but I still like to know what odds you WOULD have got when a result is particularly unlikely. Is there anywhere you can look that up?

I think 7 or more for Man Utd-Roma was 56 on betfair. Think.

7 or more Man was about 88/1 I believe.
