It was mentioned Matty, Discostu says:
Since we are talking about All-fired's, I assumed that he meant he done it on an All-fired. But because PAR only worked on Vamp's and Sharks (for a very small time.) Which is why I asked if I had mis-read something.
just today i had a let em spin on strawberries after 2 PAR JPs

Gone.But not forgotton 16th Aug 2006..............
yeh had 1 FIU that was PAR myself, was very rare though.
Ok rant time, as I'm sick of people talking shit about these machines
The actual way they play on boards is randomly, just with weight to certain numbers depending how much value is in the machine. Ie. when you are 7 from a mystery and the machine has just paid alot so is burnt, the weight of the spin goes to 7, although it is possible to get any number, 7 is the most likely. The happier the machine is, the more weight ( or probability if you like )is on the good spins ALTHOUGH it can do these however happy it is.
In theory every board you could get the pot/top feature, just by getting very lucky spins.
IE. When its happy ( the ONLY true indicator of this is red boost on feature entry or add again on feature entry for very happy ), you can still get boards that kill 2nd move ( ie. 7 11, 7 1, 9 9 and so on ) but you are LESS LIKELY to get this. It's all about probabilities.
This is why you can even get the top feature on a pick a reel one that is dead setuping ( wont go into that if you dont know but suffice to say its STONE ) although this requires a hell of a lot of moves.
I've seen people that are so called pro's seen a VIU go to £15, spin round loads and state it's flying, only to find out it's £60 off boosting - the random spins they got on the 1st board were just very lucky, no indication of how much value is in the machine.
Also the top feature can go for any amount upto £70ish ( had £65ish top ), however happy the machine is, the weight however is on smaller tops if the machine is not boosting, and the weight is on big tops if it's adding again...
I hope this clears up the machine

Not sure I agree - just my opinion though - not being aggressive...In theory every board you could get the pot/top feature, just by getting very lucky spins.
Er, I's confuzzled...This is why you can even get the top feature on a pick a reel one that is dead setuping ( wont go into that if you dont know but suffice to say its STONE ) although this requires a hell of a lot of moves.
Maybe, I just don't feel right saying there's so much 'luck' involved...I've seen people that are so called pro's seen a VIU go to £15, spin round loads and state it's flying, only to find out it's £60 off boosting - the random spins they got on the 1st board were just very lucky, no indication of how much value is in the machine.
What does everyone else here think? Ob - Just my point of view you understand - haven't played one for so long now. I used to just go for the quickest pot possible really unless backing / red boosting (or higher!) every board...

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
In terms of being able to get the pot of every board you just need to consider the spins are random ( yes when it's dead there is more chance of each move being crap but they are not garenteed and vice versa ) so you could get lucky and get the nice moves in the right places which would allow you to achieve the top or jp, this is proved in that even on one especially dead ( ie. a PAR one that is dead setuping ) you can get the top feature on a board, although its highly unlikely- you'd have to be so lucky.
Agreed on going for quickest pot possible, the top feature isn't much better in most cases being £25-32. Another thing to mention I suppose that I forgot was the free ( landing on streak add naturally a couple of times ) board, which is always nice - and this can occur however dead the machine is.

Yep, the 'cheap' streak board does happen quite often...
I guess you're right in some ways - it's like during reel play (on all machines I guess). There are 'random' (you'll see why I've quoted that in a mo) spins that just give a useless combination of fruits. But it is also not random in the way that it won't ever give you a winning combo.
You'll obtain a win / trail held / decent hold combination on a 'programmed' (non random) spin.
I can't explain it very well, but I know that's the way I go about it on the ones I programme on me' PC...

lol yes I'm not sure you understand what I'm saying about the board spins,
say your first move on the board is a 7... not a good move as 1/11 is a ?, now suppose the machine has no value as it's just given a couple of jp's; therefore the spins you get are like a random number between 1-12 with the following chances
1) 35% 2....10) 3% each number ( not strictly true as landing on skill is less probable than just a nudges square but for ease of argument )
11) 35% and 12 ) 3%
As you see you avoid the mystery only 30% of the time. The same logic applys to any other move, so in theory you can keep avoiding the ?'s by hitting the lucky 30% - although as the board goes on the % may get even lower so the chance of avoiding it is only 5% ALTHOUGH YOU STILL CAN!
At the other end of the scale say you are in the same situation as before it has spun a 7 first move, however this time it's starting on add again, now the same randomness of the next spin occurs but with the following chances
1) 15% 11) 15%.... not 1) or 11) 70% so you see your chances are you will avoid the mystery, ALTHOUGH it is still possible to be unlucky and be killed 2nd move.
When you spin around the board alot the chances are it may well have value HOWEVER it could just be that you keep getting nice moves even when the chances are very against you doing so.
Understand now?
PS> not saying it's all luck at all, you need to know free moves, how to get all the pots etc. to maximise the boards potential
