Is there any truth in the 'can only be keyed once' after switch on?

Yes this is true.Only on older Crests though.1999-2000 ones do this.

correct harry, only known this on a couple of m/c's but it definatley used too be the case.

All of my machines key and always have done. Never had any trouble with MIDAS or anything else like that. The most trouble you get is when its in a spoons and the lock is abit up shitcreek and you cant wiggle the key out!

The club version near me keys everytime, so i guess its different.
everytime i key my local club pcb it never works, would be such an earner if it did key.

my CPCB occasionly keys occasionly doesn't... pretty useless eitherway, as even if it is full, it ends up costing £300 for the sameish back anyhow - very overated machine CPCB, unless its full to a bucket full of cash, it probably wont be worth it; and given everyone plays for pots on it, this will rarely be the case.

As mentioned before,try keying it on refill day or collection day.It will work then,as long as someone else hasnt beat you to it.( there are others with refill keys).

Either that or you end up playing it " blind".Which is very dangerous playing clubbers i'd suspect.
