Matt do you go down to Stansted Airport/ Bishops Stortford way to the Birchanger Green M11 services occasionally?

I don't no.....i'd never travel out to a service station just to play! The only time i stop in them is if i'm going anywhere else. Only been in Cambridge, Peterborough and Grantham services in the last 6 months or so.

A couple of others here go to Birchanger, but i don't think its anything special.

So none of you noticed the plethora of Video AWP's that there were then? Either that or i'm seeing things... Maybe i picked the wrong day to stop smoking crack!!

Games Media, Games Warehouse, Inspired, Bell Fruit - from what i saw, traditional puggies are on the way out, and video versions are on the way in....

Barcrest may as well have not been there though for what they showed!! :(

Had a nice day today at ATEI! Very interesting products on display there. I was impressed with what was on display in ICE. Very uptodate technology incorporated into all sorts such as poker tables and roulette tables etc. On the aspect of the barcrest group area....not very impressed. They only had two red gamings which are wide knowledge (Lucky Devil and Piggy Bank) whats that spin feature on piggy bank all about lol! Lucky Streak on £250 jackpot was more exciting, which wasnt really exciting at all. How many DOND do they want to bring out. I think i saw the normal 3 reeler, 4 reeler, video screened, 4 multiplayer, new DOND beat the banker, oh and the £500 JP i might be mistaken with the big telephone on top of it, and probably more than i have forgotten to list.

Global or Games Media didnt have much to flash off to the market either. So overall disapointing on the fruit machine side of it all. As a whole day out very good. Spent about three hours upstairs in the sega arcade which was quite enjoyable as well as saw just about everything else that was there and left at 6 o clock spent a shocking 6 hours in there.

Will post some pictures oh here tomorrow or maybe later this evening of a couple of bits and pieces. Not much to brag about really. Would like to hear others comments on ATEI.

Nice one, Tom.

Oh yes and i forget to mention. Played those two fruit machines up in the sega areas. £2 in the 'happy hour' £10 red streak does IOU £7 so £1 profit. £1 the other one old crest £5 out IOU £3 so another £1 profit. Ask the guy working there hes starts throwing a wobbler at me why am i playing these machines, your not meant to be playing these machines there for display only. I said to the guy A. I asked your divvy assistant and she said they was for playing on B. There the only two machines in the entire place to not be brand new and to a player are quite blatently old C. They are not in door mode so therefore people will play them and D. Whats so bloody hard about having a display saying please dont play these machines. I assumes as you guys had played them there were actually for playing on but still i did ask first and was told i could so i dont know where the fat manager thought he was going with that one. He said to me who are you working for let me see your pass (which was around my neck) as soon as he saw managing director he started quitening down and decided to start giving his stupid woman of a worker a bollocking rather than having a shout at me because im asking to be compensated for the money that i thought i legitamately won.

God people are such morons!

Lol as if you posted my video. It looks like the slow one on the video but trust me its not. You missed the best bit anyway, me hittin it on the lcd display first!

We IOU'd 2 of the fruits upstairs, was lucky really as I did the Red Hot X in there and was about 45 in for 40 out,, so bascially I collected my own money out!

Stupid to put old, empty machines in ther ewhich u can play.

Went Wednesday
ICE was excellent, great free bars, free poker tables and lots of luverly ladies on hand to serve us MD's free drinks! Did anyone find the cool casino system for planes? Awesome having a plane seat with on-board roulette gaming screen
Also some Vegas machine company had walk up bar and hourly free prize draws to win PSP's!

Upstairs was fun, bit manic as taken over by all the kids.

UK amusement show - WTF? Why did they bother? Barcrest looked like some crap old arcade. Everyone has been flogged a DOND franchise by Endomol . Only new stuff was shite multi game video units with Party Shito / DOND / Carnival replications in some boring grey cabinet, mmmm thats enticing. Even Barcrest has managed to make their 'Elvis' franchise look like a pile of crap with 6 variations of the same thing?

Being in the events industry myself I was also amazed at the crap production values of these companies. Stands had broken machines on them, dodgy slipping reels and the Astra combi units event took 10 - 15 seconds to load a game up before playing, why would the munter hang around?

Icing on the cake was being able to pick up a Barcrest ctatlogue with a price list inside. The idiots had printed the list price and then helpfully next to it the minimum sale price they could go to for all their models, lol. anyone thinking of buying anything msg me and I'll tell you what price to DOND at, lol

No wonder the UK industry is going tits up.

Heh its actually the fast one - just deceiving on the film. My camera phone must have a slower frame rate than the reel spin giving a slowdown effect. Good skills on display there! :D
