Classic 80's clubber, rolling back the years !

Hi All

I'm new on here, but thought I'd post a couple of pics of my first purchase for my "man room". Have had a few machines over the years - club super blackjack, club crazy fruits, club all in a days work, to name a few. But now I'm in a position to have several, so this is just the first of my new collection. It took me a couple of months to find this machine, as quite hard to get hold of now, but picked this up for under 50 quid ( total bargain), and have spent the day servicing it, and only have a couple of minor things to sort, but as it stands, it works - what a result !

Would be great if someone new the switch settings and the test modes, because as usual, it has no manual

Would also be good to chat with some of you guys, so I can increase my knowledge base, and obviously we all have interests

Ah the halcyon days of the old working men's club. Part of the Barcrest 'Blackjack' genre. I think you still get the offspring of this fruity on the ferries today!...

What, because it's old? Or because it hasn't got Noel's face on it? It looks in pretty good condition to me.

that is a nice looking machine you have got a bargain, a working mpu4 and power suppy alone is worth more that 50 quid...

the test button is a black button just above the reels.
test 1 is payouts
test 2 is reels
test 3 is lamps

i cant help you with the dil switch settings, but they control percentage and price of play/jackpot so make sure you make a note of current switch settings before changing them.

also i noticed the lamps on the bottom glass are not lit, there will be two sets of roughly 4/5 lamps , these lamps are wired in serial ( if one bulb is blown, none will work like old fashoined xmass tree lights), change all the bulbs it will look real good

I think he must be from a different generation, and doesn't appreciate classic machines such as this.

OP- Great machine you have there, nice to see there are still about. MPU Mecca is worth a visit for technical advice, but be aware that some on there tend to sneer at people who lack such knowledge, whilst others merely view you with disdain.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, although it also appears that some people only like machines with beardy Edmonds on them these days...must be the youngsters!

Buzzer, thanks for the tips, the bulbs on the payout fascia threw me completely, I suspected they were inline ( serial) but didn't trust me first instinct, as it didn't seem logical. Still got things to do to get it 100%, but well worth while for a true classic machine
