pink panther pay unit err 17 help please.

Post by stud69 »

brought my first fruit machine for the kids to play with got it home set it up and all was well then turned it off and left it for the night now i can only boot up in "free play" as when i normal boot it wont go past pay unit err 17 i have googled the error and a couple forums suggested taking the hopper apart and cleaning the "eyes" where it spits the coins out so did that but still no joy. was wondering also if i can get hold of a different hopper from ebay or such as long as part numbers match will it plug and play? any help will be greatly appreciated many thanks.

The good old error 17!!

It's basically a hopper jam.

They'll be something stuck in it somewhere you just gotta find it.

unscrew the plate on the top & clean behind it with a clean cloth then reassemble
if it still alarms then try a new motor
there cheap on ebay
but worth stripping it & cleaning thoroughly 1st

put a coin in the hopper and turn it by hand, make sure the coin pops out the slot ok...

is it a club machine (high jackpot (£100/200) or an awp (low jackpot £70, £35 or less)?
