Like most dead end careers... Any way such a small percentage actually could claim great success doing 'normal thing'.

I'll be claiming Ipshit patch over the comming weeks.

Well done Glendale!

I have always worked, self employed so while things are good outside of work, I get lazy at work and visa versa.

I apologise for my terse response, but I just couldn't see why getting a job warrants a broadcast. You announced it as though you are trying to justify it to yourself and to other players, when the truth is that as long as you are content nothing else matters. If you can combine employment with playing fruits, and find that a happy balance for you then congratulations, because quite frankly it is a million miles away from where I am. I have a job I dread getting up for, even if I don't start until 3 in the afternoon I will still be in bed at half past 2. I work around 100 hours a month which does little more than cover my bills, yet 100 hours is as much as I can bear. Fruit machines seem alien to me now, a thing of the past. I think in the last month I have played 2 or 3 machines.

You seem to be baiting Will into an argument. Pretty pointless as he has covered all the angles. I'm not siding with anyone here as Will does more than most to antagonise people on this site. When Lee announced his retirement plans I read the post and was instantly struck by how self indulgent, contradictory and hypocritical it came across as, but couldn't be bothered to pull him up on it because Lee is clearly so enraptured by the concept of playing machines that his retirement was never going to last.

then it shows how much you read of the very first post i made then doesn't it rich , , , , yes the very first post , i never at any point said i was retirring full stop , i said im strictly pt time , and that i needed time for other aspects of life etc , wheres the controdiction in that ? i only go out about once a fortnight at the mo , just cant be arsed

also most things we talk about are a little self indulgent, , , christ its a chat forum , if glendale wants to announce his semi retirement then why not ? you say it doesn't warrant a post ? again its a chat forum and its relevant for any long time member to announce their future plans isn't it ? , , ,

you told us when you quit and got a job , , , , , yet im the hypocrite lol

rich i have no problem with you whatsoever , but face it , , , your bitterness for your own situation screams volumes from the rafters of most of your posts, dont you have anything positive or enthusiastic to say about anyone or anything ?

i know your job sucks m8 , but you must have other things in life your happy about , hobbies etc ? ,

cheer up , your alive and fed etc , theres plenty people worse off than you , i know it all seems so mundane m8 , but this bitterness is getting to be a drag , , , ,

i wish you well.
Little discipline = BIG issue

Head chef for a company, not wetherspoons! :-) Good money and good hours! No split shifts which is very rare!

Pretty sure Oscar doesn't like Toby's because when we went to the one in Langley all he wanted was some of my roast potatoes. I know he does appreciate an orgasm but we didn't indulge in anything remotely close to getting him (or me) anywhere near one of those.

Joking aside, I don't think its very nice of people to pick on him as it seems they are doing at this moment. It is true that he comes across as bitter at times, almost to Kesh's levels on some occasions, but he does actually have valid points to make.

Whilst I have never had Rich rush to my defense on Fruitchat and often had him criticise me, his cristicisms are usually harsh truths, accurate and realistic. Rich is a to-the-point person, he says what he thinks and sticks by it - something which I do too which is why we have often clashed.

I would rather have Rich be as he is than have someone who hides behind his real opinion and misleads people into thinking they approve of what they are doing - until the moment their back is turned, at which point they will go calling the person an idiot and worse to every other person who knows him.

As for Will, he went from someone I respected to someone I simply have no time for - all from his own writings and no one else's opinion! That's pretty impressive! We all know where he gets his guidance from anyway so its not surprising...

Bottom line, Rich says it like it is. It would be nice if he was lighter humoured sometimes and cracked the odd joke on here, he can be very funny in person. I do feel that being too honest on here as he and I have been is rather suicidal though, since there's always some cunt waiting to pounce on a point just to be nasty.

I can't see anyone picking on Rich at the moment. Perhaps you meant me? He was my top Fruitchat poster 2011. He's not top any more as he can be a bit gripey but this board is all about various flavours. I do value his postings and he is still well up there in the Fruitchat charts. I agree with your sentiments about forthright speech.
I'm not here to cause offence or rub people up the wrong way. My sense of humour is a little obscure and off the rails at times granted.

Good riddance Glendale. Let's not pretend that you returning to work is anything more than a reflection of the fact your information streams have dried up. This is a hollow victory for myself, as the seeds you have sewn in other parts of the country continue you run round bullying people and chasing dead machines. However, no doubt soon they will fall by the wayside too.

Wow, that's fighting talk!

From what I've heard about this fellow though, its like a baby elephant mouthing off to a pack of wolves!
