It's easy to "say" you're on xy and z online that's supposedly fresh, but it's rather meaningless as people that don't know you have no reason to believe you or are bothered in any case. Of course if you are on new stuff then brilliant, easy money, the gardens rosy. If you're just on standard playables it's a grind, lots of heat, lots of players and lots off dross games out there.

Those that are up there in the info chain either by contacts or working their own stuff out have it easy and always will, who those people are, I don't know, will/redlinesman etc talk the talk, but talk is cheap and in any case who cares either way, hats off to both off you if you are.

A sensible post from Ob there. Will - you clearly mention you'll be glad when player populations dwindle, but if you're often on the latest rip, blip or blop, why are you bothered about players running around mists and megas all day?
When I was changing up coins in the services and I saw a player come in for a Mista Deal Quiggler, I'd think, they're a player. There for the grace of God go I, I have what I have, happy days.
Again if you have put the effort in and have worked out fresh stuff then fair play. You don't get something for nothing in this game, unless you support the same football team as a top boy, in which case he'll share all his emptiers with you.
However it's not as easy as taking every feature or sitting down with a notepad and calculator. Sometimes you need that moment of genius AND luck to hit the true emptiable meaning of life, the universe and everything. I epitomised this in my 'method guess #322' thread on Monopoly Hot Property.

sounds like beard has a superiority complex. i don't like it when he looks down on decent people like tray. why bother speaking at all? it shows you up. if you were helping others selflessly you'd have my respect. i'm not saying you should be ashamed of what you do for a living but i am surprised how proud you seem... i can guarantee you there are people out there who have every aspect of your "fruit cv" notched.

you make the classic smart person's mistake of thinking no one's smarter than you. if you analysed your own situation beyond the outermost layer you may not like what you find so carry on as you do, if that makes you happy. one suggestion - stop lording it over others, it is unnecessary and unattractive.

Ok. In reply to the points made by both ob and JG, let's look at how rosy the fruit machine scene would be without such a high proportion of players. At what point does something move from being "new and fresh" to "a standard playable". Now a few self-deprecating facts will maybe help diffuse my superiority complex. I hate competition, I hate knowing that people are on the same stuff as me; and a lot of the time, that is all it takes to make me give up on it.

Just because I would rather move on to something fresh, it does not follow that is more profitable than the "standard playables". In fact, often the opposite because you don't have the complete understanding of the game which is gifted to someone when they receive a phone call.

As for your comments, bubbles. Well, I'm sorry if I come across as arrogant. If it is my comments in this thread that have raised your hackles, (and not my piss take at your own unnecessary boast in a previous thread) then I will accept your valid opinion. You're all right, no one likes self-righteous indulgence. And of course I can say what I like here with relative impunity.

I agree 100% with the bit about not liking knowing someone else is on something which you knew long before - you then just 'let them have it' and want to move onto something new which may make you the same money or less but at least you won't spend the first minute wondering if it has been done. I have been waiting for something like this to arrive for ages now, but it doesn't seem to be happening. I'm not really a fan of chasing cashpots, recycling and all that - I prefer a good quick rip or something Fireball/Can You Dig it-esque. I missed the superholds and Aliens while I was running around 60 arcades doing Skill Quests 7 days a week.

There is a fine line between arrogance and self-confidence.

On that note, I'm off to do some work!

Re:Noels Beard.

I doubt anyone likes it if everyones doing the same thing they are, its obviously much better if you're on something new. These days in most cases the time between something been new and fresh to "standard playable" is erm... days, things just get out straight away in the most part, unless you work it out yourself.

The premise of being "able" to move onto something fresh, as a concept you can just jump into is a bit far fetched isn't it? Whats the thinking go; "Oh I know, everyone else is playing x y and z, I'll just sit on this newer machine for a while and be bound to work something out". It's not easy just working new stuff out; most of us probably have hardly ever done it over the years; more refine methods we're told in the most part.

If your some genius that is able to work stuff out regularly then hats off!

some people just wont accept that they are simply another link in the info chain ,,,,,,,,,,, and that they are simply no more skilled than the rest of us

some of the trick's over the years have been so complex in their execution , that '' without being told '' ,,,,,,, you could sit on it for 10 years and not discover shit.

in reality its probably less than 1 in 50 players that actually work something out

other trick's in the past have obviously been put in by the programmers (fairground for example) ,,,,,,,,, the info obviously just shared with the programmers m8 for a profits share scheme etc ,,,,,,,,,, then due to greed or communications breakdown etc ,,,,,,,,, it slips out and finally trickles to us

and another thing ,,,,,,,,,,,,, from time to time we all get trick's given to us earlier than the next man ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i honestly had mob 2months before anyone ,,,,,,, and i remember paying 800 quid for snake rattle n roll that only gave me about 4 days head start , yet when you walk round the west end of london and do 5 of em all full , it was worth it

other trick's ive had notoriously late ,,,,,,,,,, to the point of not getting to do one attall

the point is , ive never ever claimed to have discovered any myself ,,,,,,,,,,, hand on heart , ive simply not the intellect

and im sure some players have discovered stuff ,,,,,,,,,,, (que lots of claims to follow , no doubt , sorry everyone )

but its truthfully only the very rare few that have discovered stuff themselves ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and yet to fit in with their peers , they all suddenly come out the woodwork ,,,,,,,,,,,

'' oh , i was on em before you''
'' oh , i was on em before everyone ''
'' oh , erm i was on em before , erm erm ,,, before the machine even came out''
'' oh , erm ,,,,,,, i was on em before i was born ''
'' oh , erm ,,,, i was on em before the fabric of time ,, and so was my wife''

and isn't it always comical when , 2 or 3 argue that they all discovered it ,,,,,,,,,,

look , this is a bit of banter , a laugh ,,,,,,,,, no offence to anyone personally

but it takes a very rare breed to discover anything ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, yet its so simple for bravado and peer pressure to say otherwise

To ob, trayhop, and all those who are slighting me here: hyperbole may present me as arrogant and self-deluded, but the merits of what I have actually said remain true. I am not claiming to be constantly on something new. But as someone who plays fruits for a living, I like to have a knowledge of things that may have potential. Knowledge that whilst not furnishing a full on method or empty, has room for development. When things are tight, I can refer back to those ideas and look at the potential for development. I'm sorry, but this is what I thought Fruit Machine Professionals did.

This fascinating diversion into my ego-masturbation has made us almost lose sight of Lee's original post. He really, really needed to tell us that...

...erm...well, not much. He's now not going to be playing so much, because its a bit tough, and he's a bit bored. Great Lee, thanks for that. Next week in trayhop related news, he orders cottage pie in Wetherspoons and forgoes a cup of tea as they've put the price up.

It doesn't matter how intelligent someone is - or thinks they are - you'll never work everything out.
There are some excellent brains in our group, much better than me, all with different ways of thinking about how the machine works etc. And yet we missed out getting a recent trick on a machine we had bought.
No-one gets everything first, anyone claiming to is just a liar.

Grant Mitchell - no one gets everything first but there are individuals who have had the majority of full ones (last 8 years) almost from the off every single time and I know this for a fact, don't ask me how I know but I do. The very cream of the crop don't exist in the fruit machine fraternity because it's simply bad for business - if their faces became recognisable or they become known then it’s game over. I was reasonably close to one of these individuals going back a while ago and that is when I learnt about security issues etc, I wasn't receiving information off the person but it did trigger my thought process about working my own tricks out and understanding how to get under the skin of a program. Everyday players who work some good tricks out will never receive the full potential from it as they normally work in a group and organisation is generally poor making the trick vulnerable. A few months is considered a good result and it is in a way but it's like a double edged sword, the group relies on the collective brains to work the trick out but the trick will be ultimately destroyed by the group's lack of understanding with regards to prolonging it.

Rumour has it all the top players that are so far ahead of everyone else don't post on here.

So those that have east and west wing and GATW can fuck off.

As for those on Alice's yes Alice's and not the the other cashpot clone are way ahead of us all :)

So good luck Will(and whatever Jo or is it Joe feeds you) and Know It All Russ, fill ur boots.

Lee, ur a boring super hero following boring cunt but I admire ur honesty.

Good luck mate. You've always admitted ur happy with £50 a day. £350 a week tax free is a decent wage.

For most of us, £500 empties aside, ur not wrong.

Last post ever.

Thank you.

Bye.
