Barcrest Hopper problem
Barcrest Hopper problem
My first post.
Hi I have just got my first 2 barcrest machines that needed repairing. I have got them both to work apart from the 'Make a Mint' (MPU4) is Ok until it needs to pay out, then you get an alarm and a hopper jam message. Check all the wires, it moves freely when pushed and turns when a current is put through it. Any Ideas?
The other one (Supercharged) is fine apart from it is in freeplay (MPU5). How do you change this to coin operated. Also is there a way to slow the reels? In the instruction manual for the other one it tells you how, but not in the manual for this one.
Thanks Brian

MPU4 = very old,Brian69 wrote:No still will not work. tried .a replacement hopper, but I will not operate either. When it goes to pay out the alarm goes off and it says hoper jam. It will not operate with the button to empty the float either.
have you taken the cover off the board and checked for battery damage etc ??
common prob on these old mpu, battery leaks and the 'acid' rots the board tracks arround the payout triacks and display components (IIRR)
Yes you are correct

I have done that and you are correct about the circuit being damaged. I will let you know if it is repairable. Where do you get a new battery from

That site is a great resource for fixing fruit machines, and I know Paul personally - he's a good bloke.6502 wrote:just googled and found this

Here is a picture of the Circuit board. How do you fix the damage to the tracks? apart from that not too much damage.
