Super Double Up? £7.60 + £7.60? Free win wasn't it? Kung-Fu's were the same I think. Never got any done, only worked on the £15 upgrades.oldskool wrote:there were at least 2 jpm strike 10s
btw - it was force 10 that could be done the same as wild wild wests (my error)
I remember Caesar's Palace had a couple of early bugs - if you held all the hold buttons in on a boxes mystery win from Golden Hold the machine would freeze, and then RAM clear upon manual reset. Then you obviously battered it because it was flying. I did it twice on the one in Mr B's in Weston-super-Mare (90% payout!) but just stopped because I didn't want them to get rid of it. There was another bug where you keyed it at a certain point and the bank would clock up money from nowhere. Can't remember much about it, or even if you could get the money if you left it long enough. 5p QPS Crazy Fruits had something similar on one of the banana bonus features.
Project Coin's Bullseye was the first trick I ever got, when I was 16. I loved that trick purely for how intricate it was. 20 for bull on last credit and then put a token in when the out of credit demo was showing less than 40 I think it was. Huge pressure on the skill! And then you had the free hold-after-nudge wins when it was rolling in skill shots. You didn't want to get Party Night from the mystery that's for sure, when you were forced onto the board.
Sometimes the best tricks aren't the ones that make you loads of money, but the ones that give you the most satisfaction and the biggest buzz, especially when you were young.
Some guys I knew used to go round sparking Ace Woolpacks and ZigZags - when you got them right the reels went out of line and didn't spin for each game, but you'd get a £1.60 win every credit.
