lines

Post by eurovision1984 »

did any old school players know there lines.
for those of you who started 15 years ago or less.
lines was a trick that worked on ace.
high flyer.
pay rise.
hi di hi.
play it again.
grand prix.
open the box.
pound for pound.
it worked on the £4.80 version.
there were 16 lines in all.
each line had a hidden prize.
the emptier was just keep taking the lines when it was 3 nudge happy.
not many players around january1993.

watch my hidden treasures ....oh yeah!

what really amazed me was the amount of munter play these got, whereas a lot of stuff did really subtle flickers on hold lights etc at the time, these badboys couldn't be any more blatant that they were gonna do something ......yet joe schmo still used to stand there like a lemon for a full minute before fucking it up.

only really saw them in arcades though which is always greater heat than pubs. did alright out of em though.
the ace machines were hilarious though. i watched open the box and camelot get released and emptied both machines the first time i saw one.
most £4.80 ace machines relied upon being upgraded to £6 to be chipped.
