Just to clarify, Games Warehouse (GWHL) "are" Paragon, i.e. they are the designers/manufacturers of the Paragons:

I suspect you are confusing them with Games Media:

(warning : extremely annoying soundtrack on this one  ).

I'm not qualified to comment on the accuracy or otherwise of the stories on this thread about redundancies etc, and hopefully that is not the case, but I certainly witnessed a new low on one of their products last night - I managed to make You Have Won £20 self-remove by winning ... £1. This was on the ingame Bonus as opposed to the prize at the end. The odd thing was that the game was not in £20/Lose mode, but whatever the cause it's pretty pathetic behaviour for this to happen. As others have noted, the logical conclusion of doing this is that they will never recoup the money they have lost on certain games and eventually cabinets will be left with nothing that anyone will want to play. And THAT is the path to having no more quiz machines...

Based on numbers of machines out there then they probably are. Based on the desperate nature of their product over the last 12-18 months then they probably aren't, although it's hard to say who particularly is any better.

I was slighty intrigued by the idea of introducing SWPs to the US. Could we be having quiz machine tours of the states in the future? Cool getting barred from the Redneck Arms, Hicksville, Alabama and run out of town by the Ku Klux Klan :D
