the maths is wrong but the thrust is right: zero would= 78% of zero.

this is very obvious but: ateotd, these marvels of engineered design are sited to make money for the developers/distributors/manufacturers/landlords & government.

given all the overheads involved with site engineers/collectors/tax/business rate/development/marketing, it is a wonder that there are enough ordinaries to keep them viable.
nobody ever wins on those things.

Surprised more players don't get mugged. I mean, if some pi55ed up locals sees you win £200, they might get the urge to make a quick raise themselves.

Can't see the correlation here between grannies playing 20 reel machines and pros playing hi-techs. A complete non sequitur.

ive not always agreed with deano ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but this time he is spot on ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

however cynical and horrible it sounds , ,,,,,,,,,***WE NEED PEOPLE TO LOSE , SO THAT WE CAN WIN***

the reality is , we live off the misery of others ............. we do not live in a candy floss fluffy bunny world.

you have two choices ,,,,,,,,,,

1, stop being a pro player through guilt , and do something more socially acceptable for work.

2, get over it.

bottom line , i do truly truly truly sympathise with hardened addicts , they need free professional help ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but everyone's situation is different , and im never gonna feel sorry for the twat who blows all his money on gambling , when he knew full well beforehand that that money was needed to put food on the table for his family ( i realise gambling is an illness , but fuck you , you people make me sick )

despite increased advertisements in the media etc ,promising free this that and the other,,,,,,,,,,,, the old adage still rings true ''nobody puts a gun to your head and MAKES you gamble.

so for me the guilt trip stops there ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ive said this before ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, maybe there should be a lot more government regulation ,,,,,,,,,,,, but the reality is that as long as the men at the top are lining their pockets NOTHINGS GONNA CHANGE. ,,,,,,,,, so people need to regulate themselves . ,,,,,,,,,, cynical ? ,,,,,, harsh ? ,,,,,,,,,,,, yes , but true.

now then ,,,,,,,,, i realise i may get a lot of stick from you guys in your reples ,

but i will only accept comments from casuals ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, any pro player that wants to disagree with me , better hang up his 50bags before throwing stones.

The higher the jackpots go the less the longevity of the game for you "pros".

Better to have lots playing (£10/£15/£25 era) than a few addicts now.

As a casual I reiterate I play £70's less. The money that's there now (if people are like me) I can assume will only dwindle.

If only they put the A back in awp.

And agreed, we are talking about 2 different topics on this thread but heyho!!

your right marco ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

i for one would welcome the return of lower stake lower jp's in the pub sector .

if only to give the common broken britain man in the street a revitalised interest .

if they do decide to up the jp to £100 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, which is good from a lure them in point .

make em multistake ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, with rewards that reflect the chosen stake

ie 10p - £25 jp
25p- £50jp
50p- £70jp
£1- £100 jp

im sure it wouldn't be that hard to implement such a machine .

bring back the 10p stake ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, they'll be more beer change going in.

Not sure of the name but did see a beardy fruity last night that held the cashpot on 25p stake at £25. I assume 50p may be £50. If they can do it with cp why not jp?

I agree with the multistake jackpot idea. I would make the stake:win ratio 1:100, therefore 10p/£10, 25p/£25, 50p/£50, £1/£100. Then the play style stays largely the same.
