£2 coin issue

Recently purchased a bell fruit golden gris machine, although the machine states that it accepts £2 coins but they just seem to fall through, is there a way to repair this?

Could be that the mech was swapped with one that either doesn't accept two quids or it's been switched to two pound inhibit.
