Bad electrical noise from machine speaker

Hi guys,

Has anyone came across a problem before where there is a really loud electrical noise coming through the fruit machine speaker?

i know when the cabinet is open you can hear the PSU which is noisy but when the machine closes you cant hear it, but then the speaker kicks in and its awful! now i know i can just disconnect the speaker but i would rather not do this.

The machine is a barcrest using the MPU5

Could it be the switch mode PSU?

can you still hear the game sounds aswell

Thanks for the reply, yes the game sounds still come through but the noise is still heard over the sounds, i have heard this on other machines but no where near this level of noise.

Faulty MPU5????
