100 jackpot

Post by e4ans »

If the pub jp goes up to 100, would that mean a 4 reel clubber could be sited? A 5p / 10p one could bring alot in just for people who want a few quid in with beer change or waiting for a mate. The ones in my CIU take 150 each a week so theres defo people wanting to play.

Not so sure spyder. If the JP does raise to £100 then sone B4 machines would be allowed to relicenced to CatC. As long as the stake and prizes match the licence conditions.

An example of this is Teddys Amusements 10p £50 Machines, fall under CatC and not CatD.

Somethings always going on at Teddys!!! (anyone sad enough to know the full jingle?)

going by that logic, bookies and arcades should be full of £250 clubs..

the licence is different... also a club vs pub licence is different... all of these diffrences would have to be changed to allow pubs to site £75/£100 club machines.

Ive seen cat Ds in pubs before. As long as the stake isnt more than a pound and the jp isnt more than 100 I would assume a clubber would be ok?

no, im talking CLUB machines..

10/20/25/30p play 75/100/150/200/250 jackpot reel based machine...

they come under a different section of the licence and you have to have a permit from the council...

the pubs you might have seen them in may have a licence to be a working mans club but not enforce memberships...

they cant just start putting them in pubs cause the licence arrangements are completely different..

Sorry for my continued 'noobness'. I know cat C is standard AWP jp and cat B are those £500 jp Reel King-type machines, but what is cat D? Cheers :-)

On the flipside, what is cat A? I'm guessing £4000 jp slot machines found at a casino?

£4k jackys are B2 i think.

EDIT: No, i got it wrong lol, according to wikipedia, this is correct....

Cat | Max Stake | Max Prize

A | Unlimited | Unlimited
B1 |£2 | £4,000
B2 | £100 (in multiples of £10) | £500
B3 | £1 | £500
B3A | £1 | £500
B4 | £1 | £250
C | £1 | £70
D | 10p to £1 | £8 cash (£50 non-cash)

clubs machines are B4 and not allowed on a cat c licence nor in a pub without a members only policy.
