Wrong end of the stick my friend, I repeat lots of players 'appeared to play well'. Proper players would take the jackpots honestly and thus leave machines that would have to be fed to an extent that would render criminal activity unprofitable. There were no pluggers in my neck of the woods.

Plugging is where you turn a machine off and then back on again at a critical moment to distrupt its normal function. This is usually straight after a win has been credited to stop it compensating.
