Funny things ( matter of opinion )

Post by Sakpi »

I'm sure many of us have anecdotes which to outsiders would not be that funny , but we would appreciate .
Two probably not very good but true examples . My then girlfriend and I checked into a hotel outside Norwich ( ? The Two Bears ? ) and the very stern lady asked " are you married ?" . My young lady replied " Well ,
he is " .
Just left the pub by East Finchley Tube station , quite pissed - well it was 11.45 a.m. Say the bus coming and ran for it . An elderly lady with a trolley couldn't decide which way to dodge , so stood still and I knocked her over ( that isn't the funny bit ! ) I helped her up , then a 60 something guy came over saying " I was in the army , if I was 20 years younger etc. etc. He turned around and knocked over a blind guy and his guard dog in one movement .

driving home one night, have to do a sort of hairpin to get into my road, and it isn't streetlit. Take the corner at about 20, get about half way round the corner to find an old man just stood bang in the middle of the road, try to slam on but at that point i've got nowhere to go, guy gets a good couple of feet of air off my bonnet and has a bit of a roll around afterwards.

Feeling the worst i get out(luckily hadnt had a drink all day so that wasnt a concern), and check up on the guy, ask him if he needs an ambulence/wants me to ring police etc... he gets up and then falls back over, then gets up again and leans on my car... turns out he was hammered... he'd had about 5 or 6 pints at the local, met and proceeded to plunge some woman and was planning on driving home, so was begging me not to call the police or an ambulance or ever speak of it again so his wife doesn't find out, even offered to give me some money for the damaget to my bonnet... everyones a winner  .
