Spawnage

Post by kidgloves »

What's the most repetitive spawnage you've had ? These kind of things stick in the mind - mine is having a ludicrous amount of £50 COB's off Perfect Game. So much so that I look at that square most of the time when I hit the button - half expecting it to hit again.
Seriously must have had 40 or more £50 COB's over time.

Yup - Perfect Game 'enjoys' giving the £50 off of COB, had it a few times myself, once first board off of £1!

Have been known for my spawnages in the past, although trying to think of 'regular' ones is difficult. Probably a little while back on things like Poker Face and Gold Rush I had the cheekiest results. :)

not me but bloody well should have been..

club machine at work, £250jp

i was playing it and had a few reasonable boards, thought id push it a bit and get a decent win, usually spits out £100 or so if you refuse a few reasonable amounts (£20/£25ish)

so i ran £80 through it and by the last £30 it had died to a cycle of "ya shoulda collected the wins, now im gunna be a c+*t", i got bored and just said, fuck it,
guy who i was with me said he was going to put the change out of his pocket in, bearing in mind he'd NEVER played one ever before, £1.80 in change in, second press gets a board and gets £200cashpot... WTF??

few weeks later he puts 60p in the same one, and gets £60 from 20 winspins...

so after an initial stake of about £3 in his entire life, he's £257 up??

(he did need a lot of help on the feature board though and gave me almost half on both times)

personal spawnage/fluke/unreal luck includes;

old style reds with trailheld/superhold/number runner, had a couple of these on first credit, superhold setup for numberrunner and next credit "AHEM!!" easy step to red 7's then on for the top, stink king rich was one of them and it did a £75 top, off first £1

had a few over the years where theres been a pot/streak credit break on and repeated...

one local vivid gambling up to £10 on first credit and £50 out within £2

quicksilver 7's dropping jp in first spin, held, two spins later dropping £15 in 3 times, moved to the next and got the "nudge-noise" streak for a full hopper and £50 iou...

had perfect game and crazy chair gatw on first board within the last month or so..

many many machines over the years have been way too ready

had a "special brew" in an arcade once and they did a manual refill cause it made a funny noise when paying out, they keyed it and it had £6 in it, so they refilled it to £250, and left me to get 12 jackpots in a row (on top of the 8 or so id already had)

£70 into a £35 pokerface that went to £15 first shot on first board, got pissed off, put my last £10 into a slotto for a near full screen of wilds, then it costing exactly £11 to get red pokerface...

A high win is normally a fluke to me - normally £2/£3 in, then it goes invincible. Past examples include Juggling Jackpot £25 (£45 streak), Vivid Cliffhanger £25 (£45 streak), Dosh & Pecks £25 (£35 top feature) and Fort Boyard £25 (£32 streak). Then the occasional cash-or-bust going for a silly amount.

My very best win was on a club machine. £4 in, and it gave me enough nudges for blue 7777 reel win for £150. I can't remember what the game was called though. It was Oct/Nov 2004, the machine had a vampire theme and I think the jackpot was £250. It wasn't anything like Oh Ah Dracula or Vamp It Up though but I think it was still Barcrest.

Then there are the occasional features that I know have high yield such as reel roulette on Fort Boyard. When it's on red, you can hold the Barcrest button and you can effectively pick any of the outer 8 reel symbols. But apart from my small amount of knowledge, it's very much pot luck to me.

The most flukey one i've had was on LPDOND. I play this machine quite often. I was only in for a few quid and was on my second board. Landed on a ? so decided the machine was pretty dead and I was just gonna walk. COBd it and it landed on Jackpot! I nearly spat my drink out - I wasn't aware the machine was capable of doing that! Pretty good seeing as I was about to walk as well.

these are the worst flukes, i mean, ive got stuff like this loads of times, a few credits in a proper buzzed up machine, blatently left after they ran out of money and gone to check the bank or something then left it... waited a full hour for an all fired up in a local arcade once, after asking every single person in there if it was their credits, no one claimed them, it was so buzzed up that i held the 4/melon to get a board and it dropped the other two in for the tenner, on a 1???

ive probably played other peoples credits off about 50 times, it always leaves me looking over my shoulder, especially when the machines buzzing...

I played a Perfect Game once and had a Deal board but got greedy and I CoBd and lost. About £21 in and I pressed CoB on about my fourth board, bust, bust, 1p, bust the history.
Well it landed on nothing.
Oh, must have landed on a value with a bulb out, bound to be £2.50 or something crap. No, it was indeed that £50 box.
Only had £50 twice, but then I have barely really play that machine, as I'm not allowed.

Spawniest thing? Well I'm well down on standard bookie's roulette, but was chasing a L8 Pot once. Well not chasing, it was on £121.84 and I thought let's look at one L8 for a giggle. I was on it for an hour, doing my £1 bet on various numbers and no L8!!!! BLOOP! I expostulated, but I was not cross for I was about £40 up from my repeated £1 bet. I did a bit of 12,14,L8+49+46+47, 31,32 to make it risker as £40 ahead and got to £60 up....then L8 dropped in, but alas not 8. Played down to £60 prof and cashed out. Not too shabby.
The thing is I have terrible luck on landing the 8, but that little bet I am well up on over time. I say well up, probably a couple of hundred, but considering the house+pot edge, quite impressive really.
I've probably jinxed myself now and inviting a £100 loss swing, but there you go.

Can't think of a machine that I'm singularly lucky on over time. Sure I get good and bad luck, have about as many icon boards per decade as PMK. I guess on the DonD Golds I've played I haven't any horrendous sessions bar that one time on the big potatoes. Anyway I'm not allowed to play them.

Errrr must be a machine. Think. Something you were luckier than you should have been on. Ooooh yeah, used to have a 70% TGE in my local pub. Was only just learning machines then and considering the low %, the number of streaks I fluked and barcodes was quite good.

Anything else?

Pfffftt, oh yeah, those concept random gold, had a few good quick raises on them and one moody session. There's a little something (not much) but even so, lukier than normal. In fact they win over all atm, not poundstretcher, not so good.

My spawny machine of this day and age is Concept 'Random Gold'

Not that I play any of the shit mentioned in this thread, I am a 43% totally disciplined player.

Had a couple Let em Spin spawns on Impulses for OK amounts like blue 7s, or people leaving extremes on their 3rd trail hold past pos4, which it gives, and I make a little off that.
Once found a Golden Game with the game on the line, looks up and there's a win on the top! Quid in....

Spawnage today- cheap pokerface followed by another a tenner later. Then waiting for someone in pub double dond I have a four phones board which I deal at 30.xx which repeats. Back to work and then pint on the wAy home -another pokerface which of the first bonus gives spin reels and numbers spin in for 20 which gambles to 70.

However the real touch was nipping in another pub for pack of cogs which repeated - two packs for price of one, may have hit on a new 'emptier'
