some ploppy old midtech kit when i was a teenager called 'showtime'.

fairground theme with horses and carousels as symbols.

boring
no gameplay
no jacky
no streak
no reprise

almost impossible to get wins on ,we used to try the odd quid now and again to try and get a win but it was pointless ,nobody ever used to punt it but felixstowe pier thought it would be good to keep it several years all the same .

pants.... and dirty ones at that.

There was a BGT machine called Barmy Army in that "Piano Keys" cab. It was a crap percentage, on 5p a play...Just would not board! So press after press on dodgy buttons(the reels are slow as well) and it did periods of no numbers. In the end I had put about 16 odd in it and got one board that quickly killed me, so I just left in disgust.
No bonuses any good, no skill involved, very few nudges. Thankfully it's gone

Barmy Army could do huge mega streaks on 10p/£5 (such as £35+) so I imagine 5p play could indeed be HORRENDOUS for board costs...

My worst was Reel or No Reel by Empire.

-Average £40 board cost.
-Maximum win offered £3.
-Saw £200 go through it, I tried a £100, nothing.

It did get replaced with a weird Monopoly game where every board cost about £20 but was always an IM?! That soon shipped out however...! lol

FRuit Explosion? The old Maygay? Yeah, absolute shit.
Open The Box was always pretty good to me but I only had it in two locations and then it was more the locations themselves that were good than the machines.

My worst old machine is easily Barcrests Top Tenner. So boring and tight as fuck as well. Although its probably the only Barcrest between the £6-£15 era that I can say I don't like.

Of the new machines its got to be Rob Da Bank and clones (inc. Star Wars). Just plain crap all over!

LOL. I was expecting grief for Rob Da Bank and Star Wars! (I suppose there is still time)

Thing about TT is a while ago I was thinking about it, so downloaded the emu and found it worse than I remembered!

I just put £10 into it now and it felt like I put £100 in. So slow and non existant gameplay. How can it always be doing something but time still feels like its stood still?! :?

well, theyre crap now!
i used to LOVE these on £35 jp, if oering over £5 force it for a wild skill or number runner or top feature, allways paid off.
had a few £60 tops off £20 in max.

now theyre unforceable only rippable.

There was also a spaceship themed one, as well as the already-mentioned Jewel in the Crown inspired Joker one.

To be fair they were all utter piss.

Las Vegas Strip - Barcrest

Personally I never really liked this, the profile was too flat and you could get round the end and only get 4 quid. Coming after Jewel in the Crown I was expecting an all-out force profile where you could get 40 quid token repeats. How wrong I was.

Italian Job 2 - Maygay

Yes we all knew the score with these but if you strip all of the flavours out you have to agree that you are left with an absolutely dire game. One move boards, superholds with fuck all there, even the Michael Caine voices weren't real. And the superboard starts that kicked you straight out I believe was an industry first, so hats off to Maygay for that dubious achievement.

The Jackpot is not Enough - Empire Games

An absolute abortion of a machine; it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about how charmless and devoid of interest and excitement this game was. This was actually done by Dave Ellis (DJE) but badged as Empire. You may remember a machine in the Barcrest Rio cabinet called Against all Odds, also done by DJE, and also one or two other games whose names I forget. None of them were particularly good either, but TJINE set the bar even lower into the ground.
