am i the only one on the planet that thinks 3d is a bit crap?
dont get me wrong , its ok as a novelty but
look , went to see avatar in 3d ,,,,,,,,,,,, and it cant just be me ,,,,,,,,,,,, the hd aspect suffers , and the colour's are all dulled down because in effect your wearing sunglasses .
on one hand the 3d aspect is amazing , but everything else looks crap ,,,,,,,,,
probably just me ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but the 2d blu ray version at home is stunning.

Nice TV Lee, sweet mate.....but for an extra touch I'm very surprised you never piled up a few wads of notes and stacked a bit of coinage up in front of it for extra effect!!! :P
As for 3DTV, how do us bespectacled folk wear the 3D glasses?
The Rileys I play pool for has a massive screen, about 80 inches - not projectile either, but I can't bothered watching a match on it. I tried watching My Bloody Valentine with the poxy cardboard 3D glasses and it was a pain in the arse tbh, so there is no way I'm putting sunglasses over me specs.

lol at matilda ,,,,,,,,, i would have m8 ,,,,,,,, but that would just be showing off lol.
yes m8 ,,,,,,,,,,,, i too wear glasses , but the 3d specs they handed out for avatar at the cinema were large enough to fit over em ,,,,,,,,,,,,, i think the old cardboard red n blue jobbys are a thing of the past now.
but the whole thing lacked brightness , colour , sharpness etc ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, in fact because the image was so dark , it created eye strain .
but 2d blu ray is immense . best way to watch it so far ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, forget whether you like the film or not ,,,,,,,,,,,, from a technical standpoint (if you have the right home setup , good quality brand full hd 1080p tv, 5.1 surround sound speaker/amp , blu ray player/ps3) then avatar is flawless , gotta recommend star trek , transformers 1/2 and 2012 too , if you want to see just how impressive it can look............. disney/dreamworks animated blu rays look amazing too .
although when the home 3d sets are common place ,,,,,,,,,,,, at leat we should be able to up the brightness levels to compensate ,,,,,,,,,,,,, but sorry overall ,,,,,,,, 3d ,,,,,, im not yet convinced .
