Bell fruit replay back-up battery problem

Post by jukeboxbaby »

A bell friut replay machine had a empty back-up battery.I ve replaced it for a new original one.The machine keeps comming with an beeping alarm and the notice that the battery has to be replaced.
Can anybody help me?The old battery didn't leak on the printboard.

Have you given the new battery a chance to charge up? Leaving the machine turned on for several hours at a time should help in this department ?

Ok thank you.I'll try to put on the machine for a few hours.I must say when i messure the voltage on the printboard it's ok(3,7Volt).May be this back-up voltage is also used on the processorboard??May you'll know where the back-up voltage is measured and generates this foult signal.
It would be nice to have a manual. Is there a place to download a schematic wirering diagram??
I was afraid that some program was missing cause of the flat battery?!
Hope to get some tips or tricks to trouble shoot. :( :?

Are you measuring this voltage with the machine on or off?

I've taken the whole mainboard out and then measured at IC6 and IC8 and on the back of the Plug Z1 (promcard) and Z2 (expansioncard) there is the full battery voltage!I didn't measure in the machine with power on.

There is also no reaction when you push the green or red button on the board.

When you put the power on the LE1 led stays red , the LE2 led near the red and green pushbuttons light's up red for e few seconds and then go's out.

Thanks for your help, without a manual it hard trouble shooting!!
