The latest GUAB edition I saw was Issue 38. Personally I was a fan of Edition 5. Big Break was ok when it was wound up - you could get £40 out of these if you did the 6 pockets and got the 147 break in the same game.

Remeber the 3 red balls that used to bounce around as the bonus? It was hilarious - the ball in the middle always ended up back in the middle. Handy for impressing people with your 'psychic' ability when you turned away from the screen.

My mate did 5s oop North. Had a good run going in the M62 corridor. Remember going to Jersey in 1988(?) and there being a dozen 5s. They didn't have bandits so every pub had a quizzer and they all opened at 9:00 in the morning. Thought it was Quiz Machine Heaven!

Highest I saw was issue 37.. I liked 1, 4, 6, 10, 11 of the early ones. 9 had a ridiculous "Jokes" category. The first time I ever saw a really good player was on an issue 4 - 30-40 pts mode, but consecutive 75 breaks compiled with a casual disdain, contempt even, for the machine. (He was, by all accounts, also damn good on Barquest, Quizmaster Points for Prizes, Turnover and others). I really liked Suit Pursuit 1st and 3rd editions; was very close to perfect question bank knowledge on both of them.
