that happened to me on a paragon the other day. A quick check on the high score table revealed no-one had played it (or if they had, they'd not even achieved even 1 hiscore)
First shot - around 800 for jackpot. Second shot about 1700. Third shot, back to normal.

nice 16 Bob. i'd imagine this would take ~HIPS for a 20. not sure it is in the OED but it is arguably a good word.
nobody ever wins on those things.
