United were very good on Wednesday. Saw first hand that Portsmouth are a very good, and brilliantly organised team. Hats off.

A point against spurs would be a great result. another tough assignment.

-£43. That visit to profitland didn't last very long. Sunderland looks the likely draw to me tomorrow. Neither of these have got much to play for now, since Everton are fairly certain fo a Top 6 finish. Expect a dull game, where all three outcomes are possible. Hence 9/4 (High St), 3.4 Betfair looks the bet since I'd price the draw at 2/1.

Accas:
Homes: Boro (11/2), Man City (8/11), Stoke (6/5)(nb) Spurs (1/2), Liverpool (2/7)
Draws: Wigan (11/5) Sunderland (9/4)(nap), Villa (5/2)
Aways: Fulham (5/1), Arsenal (Evs)

-£143

Stoke look the pick of the day to me. It's their last home game so they'll put a bit extra in and they should be too much for Wigan. 6/5 High St, marginal 2.3 Betfair.

Accas:

Homes: Bolton (6/5), Everton (8/11), Boro (13/ 8) , Stoke (nap)(6/5), Spurs (5/6), Chelsea (3/10), Pompey (6/5)
Draws: Man Utd (5/2), Newcastle (nb)(5/2)
Aways: Liverpool (4/11)

-£19. Not been much of a season proft wise. Should have quit after the first day of the season when the first bet came in, but where would the fun be in that? There have been some reasonable accas to keep the interest piqued.

I'll sign off for the season with what would seem like unlikely odds until you judge it in the context of the match and the timing. End of season bets and odds do have a tendency to jump about, as do performances with so many others factors to take into account.

Still Man Utd away at Hull at 13/10? On any other day you'd pile into this.
(2.3 8) Betfair

I suspect the nerves will get to the bottom teams tomorrow and they will all lose, sending Shearer down.

Accas:
Homes: Villa (nb)(5/4) Blackburn (10/11) Liverpool (8/15) Man City (3/4) West Ham (5/4)
Draws: Arsenal (19/5) Fulham (23/10) Wigan (9/4)
Aways: Man Utd (nap)(13/10) Chelsea (10/11)

Have a good summer folks. Now the sun's out I can get back to work.

£400 on United and £80 on less than 2.5 goals Laid United off at 1.03 though, couldn't bear the last few minutes. Off down the pub now to give my Geordie friend some stick.

The waiting is over once more!

Showed a +£111 profit last season which admittedly only came in with the last bet, but when history looks back at 08/09, they'll just say I made a profit, which has always got to be good.

1st day of the season, (like the last), can always be a bit of a lottery, but I'll start off in time honoured fashion with a draw.

Pompey seem to be everybody's tip to go down, and Fulham were one of last season's form teams but I expect a tight encounter at Fratton today.

Draw is 23/10 High St., 3.3 Betfair so save the commission.

Accas:
Homes Chelsea (1/6) Villa (8/11) Blackburn (9/4) Bolton (5/4) Wolves (6/4) Man Utd (1/5)
Draws: Pompey (23/10)(nap)
Aways: Arsenal (11/ 8) Liverpool (13/10)(nb)

Enjoy!
