Chav It!

Post by aaamusements.co.uk »

This is not an April Fool.

I have on my desk a flyer for a Bell-Fruit machine of this name, from 1995.
Was it a wind up? Or a failed test machine?

And how long was the "lunch" that was had before this found it's way onto the drawing board??

Way newer than 95 surely. I had 1 round here on £35 JP about 12 months ago. 3 Mobile phones gave extra life. 3 Gold sovereign rings put you on the super feature. Not a bad machine really. Little rip on it plus a big streak every now & then.

Yeah Chav It is about 3-4 years old i'd say. There wouldn't be any 1995 fruits with chav in the name i wouldn't think, as the term wasn't really in mainstream use 'til into the 2000s. Maybe you've been had?

Quite right you are, I accidentally typed 1995 instead of 2005!
As Ken The Bruce might say on Popmaster; "Just 10 years out..."

Was this ever a common machine then? Never seen one.

They were out on £25 first. On the £35 upgrade you could play 50p supergame straight into the middle with everything red. They weren't plague like in their occurence, but there were a few about. Still know of one round here too! 8)

It's kebab shop fodder nowadays.

It was a straight clone of Fat Boy Spin.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

dirty south in lewisham had a chav-it and fat-boy-spin (clone) a few months ago i got a £75 red mega off chav it and a £50 mega followed by 5 win spins worth £16 (rare to say the least) off fat boy spin for a few quid in each.

goths, emo's and punks love to lose on machines lol.
