Another situation i had last weekend was with an Invincible, you can see it from the window and its been off about a fortnight, i can see a piece of White paper stuck to it so i assume its broke, nipped in for a pint anyway and had a read to see what the note said.
''Anyone who wants to play this machine then ask someone behind the bar to turn it on, bandits have been coming in taking the mickey, the landlord''
After i've got my pint i decided to ask her, the worse she can do is say no, was quite surprised when she turned it on, made just under £50 on it and it was ready from the off, its a pay and give so they can hear a full £35 spitting out then usually another one, i don't think it would be as on top if you could collect £3 here and there, soon as they hear £35 its gets everyones attention, i had a £50 mega streak out a deal wheel earlier and one old boy says 'if you take much more it will be empty' and i was £58 in at the time :x feel like shouting at the twats.

Cobwebs
Made me laugh on saturday listening to some lads playing popeye. They got the DOND game and had £35/MS £6 £1 50p 10p left with a generous offer of £13 odd, he no dealt and it then knocked out the £35 and MS
he ended up no dealing all the way for a 10p box.
Next board he's back in the DOND game again and this time he has £35 £10 £4 £2 20p 1p with an offer of £10odd which he deals to find £35 in his box.
He then starts having a rant with his mate saying "There's 2 amounts on them reels!!! If id have no dealt it would have shown 20p or something not the jackpot!!! They think we're thick enough to believe that £35 was there!!"

This point seems to have gone unnoticed - but Stopnstep is absolutely right.Stopnstep wrote:It's the toolers that have made it on top for everyone, as soon as landlords hear a lot of money come out they automatically think the machine is being done over.
It's one thing people winning, manipulating or working out an emptier - it's quite another when the landlords are aware of tooling and that the security of the cabinet is being compromised. They start to think that having the machine AT ALL is becoming a bad idea and become over-protective of it.
Stop tooling and much of the problem will have been solved.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Been the victim of a few "power cuts" in my time, in the past I used to just tolerate it as an occupational hazard, now I call them out on it - my approach on the whole is much more confrontational if necessary which I find works far better...
Also when a machine switches off as soon as I walk in I will either accuse them of doing that on purpose straight away, or if the location is pretty valuable and they have a lot of different staff, I'll get a drink as usual and then go back a day or two later - if it gets switched off again then the gloves are off!!
As far as barrings go, haven't been barred from a pub since the summer when I got jammed in a couple of pubs, one for an unchipped 4 Reeler, one an unchipped P5 and one a first program CA, pretty understandable lol, tho I think I might have fired it up in the CA pub when I ordered 1/2 a diet coke (seemingly safe pub) and got charged £2.30 for it, when I promptly said "wouldn't advertise those prices" to the landlord!!
I haven't really noticed it getting more on top, in fact I've been hitting pubs harder and they seem to be just accepting it, and I'll go in all but the roughest pubs. One thing I've done lately which seems to work is to work on my friendlyness, i.e. making eye contact and saying take care, have a good evening or whatever when I leave the pub, works well in my pubs anyway.
Completely agree on the £70 JPs tho, wonder who is going to be the first player to be robbed/beaten up/kidnapped over a £210 roll if they are possible...
