So how many of you are players in the real sense...??

Post by sir ratholer »

Obviously on our travels up and down the UK we visit a lot of pubs, and a lot of pubs have hot barmaids....so let's hear your best conquests of being a player in a real sense :-)

Oh, and if you have any tricks to hide bulky pockets caused by tons of coins being in them, please be kind enough to give me a heads up!! Bulky pockets = not a good look...

I've got a tip.....don't eat yellow snow.

Another one though, if you take your shoes and socks off, you have 10 toes. Unless you are croz or anyone from Norfolk where the number could anything up to 4 million. Add this to your 8 fingers and 2 thumbs, and you get a total of 20 digits. Assign one pound coin to each said digit, round them all up, and walk to the bar. Tell the barman that you require £20 in note form for your nuggets. Repeat process until bulge disappears, problem solved.

I'll have a few of those coins as a service tip (a la black dude in the nightclub toilet) please mr ratholer! 8)

We've had this argument before......there's no trust involved. If you find a p1, you wedge it, end of. Why take a bloody chance for the sake of it. I know, i'll make it hard and potentially missable for myself on purpose when i can have a guaranteed pot instead. Brainless. I don't care what people say, there's no-one on here who has a legitimate 100% hit rate on GUAC, everyone misses sometime.

erm excuse me I do indeed have a 100% record on GUAC and strand and deliver as people who have played with me will attest to aswell.

(have missed on rovers a couple of times and panther/ziggy/fever)

Although I sometimes wedge them, depends how I'm feeling, sometimes its just quicker to whack it in. If people are watching I always hit it.

sorry matt m8 ,,,,,,,,,, when i started on these , nobody knew of a wedge method , and my hit rate without boasting was and still is 199 out of 200 ,,,,,,,, (im not gonna act big headed and say never ever ever miss , im not a robot , i accept its possible to miss) but i honestly cant remember when i last missed one,

why would i bother to risk changing that percentage ? , it would put me out of sync even on the slowest speed having to hit em on the bottom ,,,,,,,, easy i know but my normal place 9 times out of ten is in the middle with ,,, the top n bottom being margin for error.

i respect you m8 ,,,,, but for me , your simply wrong on this one .

why mess with a (almost) flawless method ?
to one where there is more (for me at least) margin for error

never ever wedged once , and never ever will.
Little discipline = BIG issue

All old-school players would be top-drawer at any reel skill as that's what they grew up with (Winning streaks, cardcash, etc), where you had to hit it bang on. This is why Red Arrows, D'ya Feel Lucky's were pathetically easy to us, because of the fact you only had to stop it in the window.

Ziggy's, Cabins and the like are even easier, I think due to the size of the line.

Not being big-headed, but who couldn't hit these left handed?

and back to the original post , ive had a barmaid once ! i am now barred ... plus i am too fat and ugly to pull anymore.

moral of the story is.... dont bed barmaids as they bar you after, and secondly dont drink beer everyday and kebabs on a regular basis as you get fat and cant get laid anymore.

and thirdly always use your eyes when guac ing !

Baaaah. All this nonsense about GUAC.

I've played 2k through my Flashback and it has never done this until today.

Boxed grape in middle.

"I love you" it said. (season of goodwill?)

So I held the boxed grape.

"Do you love me to?" it said

I said "yes" and we ran away together and got married.

Bloop. no. It span in three boxed grapes which gives bells and is too high to get Stop 'n step.

I challenge the skillmasters in this thread.

Hold on, just need a poo.

Yep. Just had the poo. Triple spray powerup activated by beer, brussel sprout, stuffing combo. Loads of gas aswell. Plippety plop pfffft.

So yeah, I challenge the skillmasters on this thread and anywhere on the board. Could you hit the IMPULSE 100%, or near enough, on stop 'n step? No below or above, not good enough. GOT TO BE ON THE LINE!

I have the occasional skill bluurrp. I came in out the cold a fortnight back and missed skilling up a Cleudo on about the third time around. My hands were just to cold - excuses! We all miss the odd skill continue level one from time to time. It happens. I got another ^^ starting board opportunity soon after and had my MS.

It's a chipped Flashback btw, when it gets far enough behind it rolls onto strawberry if you bang in the Impulse. Boxed bell (£4) is fine unless you're hitting it on reel one. Sevens are always fine. If same kind are above, lucky you!

I guess whilst a few of you were playing p1 Flashbacks for sure, not many bothered with £5 Flashbacks!

I bet Mark would empty it be knowing all the set ups for when a board was due and tickling in £4 every time when the Xchanges are one above or taking value if not. Mark would know all the numbers and all the boards inside out - is that right Mark?
